13 year old with loaded gun @ school

So... they never mentioned why the kid brought the gun to school in the first place. Is there an bullying issue that the school hasn't handled? Is the kids being messed with on his way home? Was he just being a dum-dum and showing off to his friends?

That's not necessarily true, this is a school after all, there are kids everywhere. The 4 kids could've all been hanging out in the same place and saw it at the same time.

A sort of buddy of mine back in jr high brought his dad's gun to school. It was a revolver, 38 and it was unloaded. His dad was a CHP. He got caught too, but I can't remember if he got expelled or just suspended.

I have an Uncle who used to take his .22 rifle to school for show and tell when he was in the 3rd grade. My how times have changed.

Oh god. Im racist for making a joke? I myself am 2 of those nationalities and i speak from first hand experience...Grow a pair and get over it...Realize not everyone is racist just because they mention someones race in a bad light, or in this case, a joke from some one who personally knows the kid and his lack of intelligence (and his fathers, and his fathers fathers fathers). Calling a person a racist for no reason kind of diminishes the term racist, dont you think? What makes you think I was even referring to his race as being dumb? I was simply describing the kid. Unregistered rifle? Uhhhhhh, so was that chicken little thread about confiscation of Unregistered rifles true? I don't see how he could have gotten an Unregistered rifle in 2014... More likely before that law went into effect.

Guess that will just be the new tactic to fear monger. They aren't technically wrong. There are millions of ca gun owners that have unregistered rifles. No mention that it is not illegal if they were bought prior to 1/1/14. Who needs pesky things like details?

In their own voice (not a PD quote) they said as fact that the rifle was not properly registered. Sooo; that could make them technically wrong too. Its what I asked about. What is their source or why do they think it was not properly registered considering registration started a few months ago.

Oh well. If they don't care about their product then I don't have to take them seriously as a news outlet...
