Ive been debating on what to do and i keep going back and forth. so i thought ide see what others think. Would you rather have.. lets say 1 $1500 pistol or have 2-3 pistols that add up to the same amount? I currently have a Springfield loaded which i like and a glock 19 which i haven't shot yet and cant really decide on. Im thinking about maybe selling both and getting a MC Operator or TRP instead.

Spend it all on one nice gun.If you ever sell in time the value should have gone up more than three cheaper guns .Kimber may be a way to go ,I have one,or buy a collectible .Keep it simple! -

I went through the same dilemma. You're the 3rd person in the last week with the same dilemma so here's a repetitive story. I had 2 great pistols... West German 228 & Glock 19 gen 2. Sold both and upgraded to a Sig X5. It was painful when I sold the pistols but after I fired the Sig X5, I asked myself why did I wait so long?! It's now my favorite pistol with absolutely no regrets and just wished I had done it sooner.sigpicComment

Depends on your anticipated use.
Is it going to be a safe queen, CCW, show off at the range twice a year, or carried every day at your ranch in the muck and wet and dusty grit?
Mine get used hard and often. So I buy high quality used. Finish wear and a ding or 2 do not bother me. IMO it is similar to tastes in cars.
Some folks get by with an old reliable beater.
Some folks have a nice one that they drive every day and maintain, but the doors have a few dings.
Some folks have one so nice that they never drive it because the finish might get
damaged and it would lose value.
Some folks have an off road vehicle, work car, a car for fancy events, a truck to pull the camper, a hot rod that they are rebuilding, and a Harley when they feel a little wild.Comment

+1. My Sig X5 is purely a target shooter and eventually a competition pistol. This is not a home defense nor CCW.Depends on your anticipated use.

Nothing wrong with what you have now. I say keep 'em & go for the throat on your third gun. Turner's in Kearny Mesa has a DW Bobtail for only $1700.

The Loaded and G19 are both very nice, practical, and capable pistols. I would continue expanding from there, and gravitate away from selling guns to buy guns.Comment

What does the TRP/operator have that the Loaded does not? That a good gunsmith can not tune/modify/cut/grind/weld into your Loaded ?
You have two good guns, nothing to worry about or change. If you owned crap then yeah maybe. Is a $1500 1911 going to do something that a G19 or Springer Loaded cant ?
I say add a nice 4" Smith revolver to the mix.
1 is none, 2 is 1.
If you lose 1, then you are stuck.
