She and a guy were bringing their rented handgun back from the firing range and while standing in line (behind me) she started fiddling around with it. I hear the distinct metal on metal sound, turn around, find myself looking down the barrel of a handgun sitting in the little plastic basket, and she's got a shocked look on her face.Ugh.
Last time I was there checking out guns I asked the clerk if he had a safe direction in particular so I could try getting an actual feel for the grip and sights...
You know those 6" pillars in the middle of their little handgun corral? Yeah, he told me to point at that with people standing around it. I told him I'll just point it at the ground since I wasn't about to start aiming at the back of people's heads(the place was crowded at the time).
Didn't really occur to me what had happened until later. I don't think anyone else around noticed either.Last edited by CBruce; 04-06-2014, 4:47 PM.Comment

As noted before, they've shot at other places including Richmond before if Chabot was booked or whatever. Both of those ranges get pretty muddy after a storm so even if it wasn't raining at the time of the shoot they may have decided it was easier to go indoors for this one.Comment

Jesus. I wouldn't go back for the same reason.
I've been there a handful of times and I guess I've just been lucky. Everytime I've gone, there's only been a handful of people and no idiots. Ventilation kind of sucks but i feel that's the case for most indoor ranges.
I can't speak for their prices because I've never bought from them. I usually just go there with my stuff, if I know I'm gonna be in the area. Rented a couple times and that was hassle free.
Guess I just got lucky.Comment

"Prohibit the peasants from owning katanas, wakizashis, arrows, spears, or matchlock rifles. If the peasants are armed, they will not pay nengu (taxes) and they will not be subordinate to the officials."
Toyotomi Hideyoshi's Sword Hunt Edict of 1588, establishing the class division between the peasants (commoners) and the samurai (the governing elites).

I think that belongs to Dillon Aero.I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!Comment
