there brass goes flying just like yours. if they don't like it, well thats tuff titties for them. they should be thankful that they are able to go shooting and enjoy having a hot piece of brass down the back of the shirt. its like a right of passage.

Jeez, do people tell the batter to mind where his foul balls might end up when he's going for a home run? If you do get hit by a foul ball was it because the batter was being rude? (Or, because you weren't paying attention?)

Probably not, why? Because you're in a FREAKING BASEBALL FIELD?

        Hello?

Our hk p7 flings cases directly to the next lane...so when we plan to shoot it at the range we just request an end lane....that way it just hits the wall.

Depends on who set up first I guess. The brass deflector works both ways; for you to prevent your brass from hitting someone AND to prevent others' flying brass from hitting you while you shoot.

If you set up first, the guy should get the brass deflector himself. If you came after it would be courteous to be the one to grab the deflector if the other shooter asked you to.

              Yeah, that.

But in reality, you may have to take a diplomatic tack and ask them what they would like you to do about it. "What can I do to fix it?" They will then have to come up with an absurd suggestion and realize their, oh shall we say, "mama's not here to make everything awright". Oh, yeah, that's what happens at the range. A couple of back and forths should work it out. If that doesn't work, "man-card revoked, hand it over."

i guess you could offer to switch places with the person unless you have a tremendously complex setup

hopefully he will have a rediculously complex setup(chronograph, spotting scope, binocs on tripod, anti aircraft mount, clay launcher staked down ez-up canopy) and will not want to switch

I have always thought of getting hit with brass as part of going to a range. Then again I have never been showered with brass, only been hit a couple of times. I think it more funny than anything.

Gun shots are too loud, that's why we need suppressors. After all we don't want to scare the children with the loud noises

When I go shooting I always make sure my buddy is sitting on my right... sometimes I make a point of blasting through a 30 round mag very quickly... don't know who well I hit the target down range, but I usually pepper my intended target pretty good

Getting hit with brass at a range is par for the course. If there are others around, and it were available I might take the station furthest to the right, beyond that sorry charlie, semi auto guns fling brass.
