What about buying "her" the Glock?

Trade a gun you don't shoot as often for the new one you want. My new rule is I only keep guns I circulate to range often. That means I got rid of my two shotguns. One had sentimental value because it was my first purchase at 19. But sentimental value vs use, outweighed my option to sell it.

Don't listen to these guys. If you want a Glock, go buy your Glock. If your girl sees it you tell her you've had it for years. Then ask her why your hobby isn't important to her. If she loved you she would know about your guns.

Then in a few years you can get divorced and buy whatever the hell you want.

Figure if you're hiding your guns, she's hiding her boyfriends.

How you approach this issue could well dictate the future in this relationship. What is most important to you will guide your decision. At a time when my bride of 25+ years can no longer see much due to optic nerve strokes, I could buy anything and hide anything. But I would give all I have for her to have her eyesight back and the ability to see everything I purchase. YMMV

This is why you need a big safe.

You buy the gun it goes into the safe, a year later when asked you can say you had it for a while, same as women do with shoes and purses

You can answer this one yourself by asking yourself how you would react to her buying a $500 pair of shoes or purse and then hiding it from you.

Buy it now and tell her next year after you're married?? Do you have any idea how much a divorce costs? Don't listen to the crazy talk.

BTW, it may be proper to register for wedding gifts at your local gun shop.

Be smart about it then. Ebay some junk you have laying around in the house or garage and then go buy your stuff.
