i sucked it up and paid 50 bucks each for [2] 550 packs of 22 lr at ammo brothers 2 months ago. that and a couple of 330s from big 5 and i can shoot 22s without worrying about running out.

When you say BOX, do you mean 50 rounds? Or are you saying BRICK (500-550 rounds)? Don't need to pay for just 50 rounds at the brick price.

if you worked your butt off gettin up early, used a gallon of gas per day,pissed your wife off for the time and money you spent and stood in line for endless hours at your 2 local wlamarts for the past 12 months you got 22 at walmart. i let friends have 7000 rounds of what i obtained in that time at the price i paid for it and kept the rest. as of friday i spent $2,266.81 at walmart for a total of 44,850 rounds of 22.

Went to the local Wally in Martinez. I was told they don't sell ammo in Contra Costa, Alameda or SF counties, at any Wally's due to the gangbangers in Oakland.

I wouldn't shoot that in my lifetime either. What do you need 45K rounds for? Now I understand why I can't find any whatsoever. I'd just like to try out my year old 10/22. I just don't get it.

what does need have to do with ammo in most cases? its because we want it not that we need it.and by the way i have more 22 than that,lol. that is what i got in the last 12 months only. and hogdog is for hunting . i have guns and i like having a decent amount of ammo for them and i also fear our state is going to tax the heck out of ammo and also make it harder to get.

Fresno Walmarts seem to have removed the three-box limit for everything but .22.

I was offered the opportunity the other day to clean out their ammo stock all by myself if I wanted to do so. I politely declined and only bought three boxes of 9. haha!

Sonora Walmart has been real good if you are diligent. 3 out of the last 4 Saturdays I have bought my limit of Federal 550 packs.

Since December, I have probably purchased ~7k rounds of .22.
