Justify it how ever you will. My point is that because of your (and other like-minded hoarders) fear and your wanting to have a "decent amount" of ammo, many of us (your fellow brothers-in-arms and fellow Calgunners) are unable to have any at all. It's interesting to me that you don't see the ignorance in posting that you have amassed 45K rounds and are still out there every day "working your butt off" to find more.

Range trip every Saturday (which I do), shoot half-a-brick each time (as I used to) and that's 13,000 rounds in a year. Shooting 45K rounds of .22 isn't as big a hurdle as it seems.

Heck when the kids were still around we used to blow through TWO bricks on each trip. Of course those were $5 bricks back then.

Through bi-weekly trips past several Wal-Marts on the way to my doctor, I have managed to score 7,000 rounds of various types/brands of .22 during the frenzy myself.

You wouldn't shoot 7,000 rounds in your lifetime?!?!?!?

My son and I shoot at least a brick every time we go out. Last I counted I had about 30-35 bricks. That's only 30 or so trips to the range on the days we shoot .22's.

Well, if he has the time ,money, and desire to fund that by all means hoard away. After all, if he was down on his last dime and homeless I'm sure you or any other Calgunners would not invite him to stay at your home.

Or you can do the same thing. Wake up early and line up at Walmart like he does. If you're not willing to do that, then I don't see a problem at all with what he's doing. So stop whinning like a typical American.

Not sure what you're talking about. I was referring to 45,000 rounds.

You don't know me, so how can you say that? If I knew him and he was down on his luck, I surely would invite him to stay at my home. I'm sure other Calgunners would as well. What does that have to do with this anyway? Ever heard of comparing apples to apples?

Wow, heck of an insult there, guy. What is whinning anyway? If you mean whining, I surely wasn't doing that. I was pointing something out that was ridiculous to me. Are we not allowed to do that here? I am American, so at least you got that right.

Hogdog, I apologize that I offended or insulted you. That wasn't my intention. You originally said:

"if you worked your butt off gettin up early, used a gallon of gas per day, pissed your wife off for the time and money you spent and stood in line for endless hours at your 2 local wlamarts for the past 12 months you got 22 at walmart."

I was just stating my opinion in that I feel it's ridiculous to go through all of that in order to acquire 45,000 rounds of 22 ammo, which I feel that I would not be able to use. Again, it was my opinion. Before that I pointed out what I felt was ignorance for coming onto a board and posting what you did after so many of us cannot find 22 ammo anywhere. I guess I felt it was ironic.

Again, no offense was intended, but we're all entitled to our opinion, which is a lot of what this board is, people's opinions. Good luck in finding your ammo and I mean that sincerely. I hope that I can find some too. Carry on.

i guess what i was trying to say was that 22 can be found thru this mess but it aint been easy. luckily for me i am retired and have the time and such to do the walmart ammo hunt thing. its actually turned into a social thing as ive met a ton of decent folks also lookin for ammo, and ive also passed some of this ammo along to some cal gun memebers at no profit for myslef. heck i went to walmart today after gettin a root canal and spent well over an hour talkin with 2 guys at the ammo case. talked ammo, guns, hunting and the sick laws they are trying to ram down our throats in this state
