He didn't describe the commercial but implied it as not good for us. Are you so moronic and obtuse that you don't remember that our arch enemy's legal name is "Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence"!

I hoped you do it so we all know who to punch in the face at the range.

A public service announcement is an attempt to sway voters and policy.

If I believed strongly in a particular cause, I would not participate in a direct attempt to undermine that cause.

I don't see it as drastically different from campaigning for a candidate who goes against my principles.

Making up a legitimate-sounding excuse isn't that difficult.

Now, I am understanding of the fact that it's easy for myself, and others in this thread, to sit here and make all sorts of pronouncements. I also understand the reality of being the one in the situation is different. It's easy to offer advice when one isn't involved.

I don't know your financial situation, how much work you have, and how not going (even with a good excuse) might affect future calls. I am not insensitive to all that, just offering my opinion.

How's he going to become the face of gun control? If he's that popular I'm sure he an use the same influence to be pro-gun, no? Just like Bloomberg can be the biggest 2A supporter if he wishes. Things go both ways, some of you think things can only go bad.

Yay, now you start with name calling.

Try again, how is his gig similar to gun confiscation?

You really are obtuse aren't you. If he does the commercial and then uses his newfound fame from the anti gun commercial to promote being pro gun then the "industry" will blacklist him and he will get none of the legitimate work that has nothing to do with the issue. Your in irvine right? I bet you voted for Larry Agran and the "Great Park" too....

do you really think I believe all the actors on tv commercials ? They are paid to say what ever and that is all, they don't actually believe what they say or use the products, etc. Even when they say "I use the product" they don't, they are paid to say that.

Acting is what you do, so do it. Get paid and buy a gun with the money if your conscience bothers you, or pay bills and put food on the table.

You do a lot of name calling and insulting but no real logic behind your statements. Tom Selleck and Clink Eastwood are huge Pro-2A people and they have work, no? Brad Pitt and Aneglina Jolie are also Pro-2A and I have seen them in movies every year.

I did not vote for Argan and the Great Park. Your assumption is wrong.

i wont ever speak for gun control or limiting the 2A. gun rights are civil rights, if you are willing to speak against the 2A for money would you also speak against the 1st, 4th or 5th? would you be willing to speak for communism, or try to convince others that giving up civil liberties is essential for the country to run?

You really think that the OP is an "A list" star or multiple academy award wining director who produces/finances and stars in his own movies??

Again, both mornic and obtuse are adjectives that in my opinion accurately describe the thought process you are exhibiting in this discussion; descriptive of your behavior. Calling you a "name" is something completely different. I described your thinking as moronic, I DID NOT CALL YOU A MORON! No HS level English class for you sir?

I work for a public school district indoctrination center. My union supports people like Steinberg, De Leon and Yee.

It is a daily struggle and I do lose sleep over it. But I need to eat.

Please explain how I'm moronic and obtuse. Saying it doesn't make it true.
If he is part of a major anti gun television or print ad campaign that will be in all our faces, you don't think he will be seen by gun owners? And recognized at places gun owners frequent? REALLY?

You really need to google moronic and obtuse. Of course part of the problem of being moronic and obtuse is that by definition, you usually don't recognize it in yourself.

That's why they call it acting. The difference in the PSA that was posted in this thread is that all those hollywood morons were representing themselves and lending their name and "star power" to this silly demandaplan crap. You are an actor, take the job, no moral conflicts whatsoever.
