Read above. You've already been beaten back on this argument; and quite handily. And wouldn't you know it THERE ARE anti-car people in the government who want to take your car.Ahh yes, the young gun buyer filled with fear that obviously didn't live in the time of truly harsh, every increasing laws of the 80's and 90's.
That's ok, I feel sorry for you breaking your bank buying up guns you don't need at ridiculous prices because you don't know the relevant case law regarding weapons bans and confiscations.
Don't register your car, clearly there are anti-car people in the government who want to take your car.
C.A.R.B. - a WHOLE GROUP of them, not to mention plenty of Environmentalist politicians in Sacramento that would love to take any car older than 10 years and require junking them - ESPECIALLY IN CALIFORNIA due to failure to pass an arbitrary smog law or "safety" test. How ironic.
Well, that backfired on you - pun intended.
What a shill.-----------------------------------------------

Yet. That's how it works.
But all you need to do is look up history of the Dan Lundgren and the response to magazine-fed SKSes in CA, or CA DOJ and their response to purchases of the CA-version Robinson Armament M96, and you would realize that what you just stated is entirely without merit.

Travis, if you're that concerned about it, just buy a bunch of 80% lowers in a bulk, buy a jig while you're at it, and a drill press. Finish them, and you have a completely off the books rifle OR handgun if you want it.
If the state wanted to confiscate our weapons, they'd go and get the 4473's from the gun stores and find you: they can't do that with an 80%.HammerOriginally posted by CSACANNONEERYou don't watch much porn, do you?Originally posted by loopholeWhat's a PIN number? Or an ATM?

So you propose to violate the laws? I'm sure you don't want to "register" your guns but have no fears about posting on this message board, probably have photos on your facebook of you and your guns and let your driver's license be scanned every time you go to a public range.
Let me guess, you haven't thought out your crazy paranoid fantasy completely through. Be politically active, donate the causes you support, vote. Stop pretending that you are going to lead some armed resistance against oppression because someone took away your weekend hobby.Comment

Try again with a credible news source that doesn't also have articles on chemtrails and fluoride in the drinking water.Comment

At least this makes sense, if you are going to go all in on a subvert the government weapons ownership thing do it right.Travis, if you're that concerned about it, just buy a bunch of 80% lowers in a bulk, buy a jig while you're at it, and a drill press. While he selected that one - there are about 500 other credible news sources that posted the actual letter from the City of New York requesting gun owners turn in their banned firearms. It was a genuine article - not a fabrication. But no, you won't see your beloved "Mother Jones" or "Democratic Underground" website reporting on it.
A non-shill would already know this as the news on that is weeks old.-----------------------------------------------

So if they called it a tax people here still wouldn't be irrationally flipping out about it? I think they would. The point is the OP had a legal option to purchase items with out registration. This option is now null and void as of the new year due to the sellers shady business practices. As far as your registering your car or boat analogy the only reason we pay registration fees is because the State of California cant legally call it a tax and I doubt the State of California will confiscate any item that produces revenue for the state.Comment

So link me one, it should be easy for you. your on a good roll
Can you please also give your opinion on The affordable care act, the definition of marriage , immigration and global warming. I would love to read them . I'm just wondering if your views on the subjects above are in line with your beliefs on firearms. So you propose to violate the laws? Why should I do this for you; I am surprised that you did not already see it on MSNBC. Weeks ago. That is where I first saw it. But it's not big news now - the bigger news now is that NY is going full-blown registration state-wide, confirmed AND ALLOWED, by a Federal Judge as valid - to trump your argument yet again.
Of course, such stories weeks ago would not have registered (ironic, eh?) much with someone from the ligature-brigade of the Anti-2nd Amendment crowd, now would they?
Google it.

1) I am in full compliance with all laws regulating all firearms within my possession. All were acquired legally in compliance with the documentation required. So you propose to violate the laws? I'm sure you don't want to "register" your guns but have no fears about posting on this message board, probably have photos on your facebook of you and your guns and let your driver's license be scanned every time you go to a public range.

2) I don't have a facebook page, nor do I maintain any online presence in my own name, except for business purposes. I am not hard to find.
3) I'm a member of my local range; I don't show a driver's license, and neither does anyone else who is not a member, either.
4) I have been politically active for 45 years now, Chuckie. Which is probably longer than you've been on earth.
5) I don't pretend. Not about anything.
6) If you think firearms are my weekend hobby, come and get them.

I think that would be obvious.
But if you go to the website for "Democratic Underground" or "MoveOn.org" you could probably more easily capture his opinions in one full quiver, all in one place.-----------------------------------------------
