Dros before 12/31/13

I was just in my LGS/FFL today and he said DROS must be started prior to 12/31/13. Pickup can occur after new year but don't miss the 30 day window or you go back to square one...with the new rules and regulations.

The other day I was at an FFL, and there was a sign posted about CA not accepting any background checks after 9 PM on Dec 14. It went on to say that they would resume background checks on Jan 1st, 2014.

Doesn't this mean you can't pick up a gun or start DROS until after Jan 1st? Was this sign bs? Or can you still purchase/pick up guns between dec 14 and Jan 1st?

This was said to affect ppt as well

Must have been that FFL only. There are plenty of retailers selling guns and advertising Christmas sales.
