Complacency kills, were so used to being around guns sometimes you assume the gun you take out of even your own safe is unloaded and then you handle it without checking and while looking it over you notice rounds in the chamber you forgot putting there weeks earlier, that happened to me, not fun, pretty scary what could have happened - Great Reminder - thanks for posting -

Good safety checking again before putting it away. Can never check to many times.

Way to man up for a mistake and reminding us to always double and triple check if the weapon is clear

I had a ND in my garage one time on my 22LR revolver. I picked up up to unload and the very sensitive trigger and my finger made contact and off it went. Scared the **** out of me and I know it was pointed towards my wall but I never found the hole. I'm just glad I point somewhere safe when I handle my weapons. My new rule with that particular revolver is to always ALWAYS have safety on when hammer is cocked and loaded.

            A gun is always loaded.
