It's not a case where any DA would file charges... The "Nudger" would only have to say he stumbled into the OP to negate any battery... Or even say the OP assaulted him and he was defending himself....Or it plain just didn't happen.he commited battery PC242 when he nudged you...
this will prohibit him from owning firearms for several years...
please report to the cops and ask for it to be sent to the D.A. for review since you already left... make sure to mention his , access to guns and mental instability.
we don't a crazy messing up gun rights...
Besides after the fact reports made days later for exceedingly minor batteries with no injuries are just a waste of time....They never get filed.Poke'm with a stick!

The world is simple when you have one side of the story.
"I was completely right, and the other guy was completely wrong!"
I'd bet there is another side to this story.
Adults who have been out in the world for any length of time will have observed behavior which reaches a certain level of rudeness and gratuitous disrespect. Beyond that point, all bets are off. It might be called "Begging for an ***** whipping." Think the employee might have a response to the OP's version of the facts?
Just looking at the available facts, the employee probably shouldn't have followed the customer into the parking lot, but there are people in the world so incapable of acceptable behavior that sometimes it might seem like exactly the right thing to do.
"...Never, I mean never..." that is a "material omission" if I ever heard one!
Come on, OP. Think maybe there was some shared responsibility there?"Self defense is not a fashion show. A defensive handgun is not a little black dress, or a purse."
Remember, the overwhelming majority of anti-gun thinkers are not stupid enough to be "afraid of guns." They are afraid of stupid/immature/crazy psycho people with guns.
And as always, being friendly, courteous, and respectful is the easiest way to bend people to your will.Comment

I've spent a lot of time in Duncan's. Bought some guns there. Had work done there. I have never EVER, not even once witnessed anything like the OP described & the people I know there would NOT behave as described. But posting a cool story on Calguns always takes care of the problem and the one sided story is always accurate and gets sympathy from people here.
Seriously for the OP. If this is what happened, why didn't you immediately ask to talk to the manager or at a minimum, call and talk to him when you got home instead of running to your computer and posting this?
I wouldn't mind hearing the other side of the story. And no, I'm not in any way affiliated with Duncan's. Just a satisfied customer."He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion."

That is the offending party's decision, not the victim.
And yes, that is specifically why people with assault or battery, or domestic battery charges are not allowed to own firearms.
If you are attacking someone unprovoked or without cause, your means to do harm should be mitigated - that is just common sense.
On the other hand, if you have not done such acts, you should have every right to carry, and defend yourself against just these type of people.sigpic

Report the *****clown to the owner/manager immediately, he should be immediately fired! Someone with that short a fuse has no business working in an establishment with firearms!!!
Ordered a custom springfield trp pro, and paid in full. Waited 28 months! All I ask was no one mess with MY new gun when it finally came in. Well the assclown behind the counter decided it would be fun to play around with MY gun while I finished paperwork. At first he didn't even realize that it came with magazines, but once he found them under the foam, he thought it would be a good idea to put one in and lock back the slide. We all know what's next, you guessed it. How cool is it to let that slide slam shut? Never mind there's an empty chamber. When I told him to put the gun down and to never, I mean never release the slide without a round in the chamber on an auto with a tuned action, he scolded me like it was my fault. Regardless of who's side of the issue that your on," this does/doesn't damage the finely tuned internals of your pistol" doesn't matter. It is not his gun to be handling in any manner he sees fit. Further I tried explaining that it's written in springfield's owner's manual to not treat their guns in such a manner as it will ruin their tuned action. He then said if I had something to teach him he would be outside and cursed at me. When I finished my transaction and left the store the employee followed me outside. As soon as we were in parking lot he ask "what I had to teach him?" I replied that maybe he should consider reading the owner's manuals for custom .45's. This prompted our friend to lean into me nudging me with his shoulder, trying to force a physical confrontation. That's about it, he wanted to fight, I wanted him to open his mind to the possibility that he may learn something from the world class engineers that design and build one of the last handmade works of art in USA firearms."Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed one.

Perhaps contact the manufacturer and advise them of the behavior of their dealer in handling the custom firearm you waited over two years to receive.
You might also ask if rough handling by the dealer will affect any possible warranty issues. The sooner it is documented, the better.Just taking up space in (what is no longer) the second-worst small town in California.Comment
