There are some seriously screwed up people on this board. And I'm not talking about the OP.

The 'snitch' comment and its supporters, crap like this, all this infantile / Thug Life nonsense is what's turned our society to the worse.

I think the snitch comment was mostly in jest. But it also served a purpose... To give you an idea what those 'thugs' think and how they feel.

Correct, a "snitches get stiches" mentality prevails with them.

As with anything.... there are extremes to both sides and reasonable behavior is somewhere in the middle.


Most would agree that a gun wielding drunken redneck shooting a shotgun in the city deserves "snitching".

On the extreme to that, I had the neighbor call the cops on me because my vehicle, parked in my assigned private parking space had expired tags.

The PD was going to tow it until I showed them a current operating permit for the vehicle.

That is just plain CS. People need to shut up and mind their own darned business sometimes.

Lots of truth to this. I generally dislike rats and snitches and informants but if I saw say for instance my neighbor stabbing someone to death I suppose I would "snitch" and call 911.

Did you have some sort of prior bad relations for your neighbors to even bother doing that to you? Seems strange.

Nope; I am a good neighbor; it is just everywhere one goes he is bound to find someone who is so unhappy with his life, he must examine the lives of others.
