    Umm... yeah... ok.

For folks that grew up with A1's and A2's, and never tried any of the new brakes or comps, it is a pretty amazing difference. Just filling an information gap that might be present in this conversation.

This wasn't to prove him wrong or be dickish... just to show what the right gear will let you do.

"biggerhammer" - RE: your post: duly noted. Great job not suffering fools and keeping us all corrected. And thanks for all the information you provided. And thanks for admitting you have too much time. And thanks for being big enough to say that I am a big enough man to admit when I'm wrong. Thanks for the links. Thanks for everything, as you put a lot of time into it. Thank You. Truly.

I must admit, as informative and as ignorant your post(s) made me feel, that "I suffer no fools" line had me on the ground. ....reminded me of some movie I once saw...was it "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka"???....I don't know, but kudos on keeping the info crystal clear whilst being funny as F'k at the same time. Bravo!

Funny but during every Mp/5 qualification we shot them on full auto as well as semi..., and during one stage were required to put a full mag (30) rounds in the scored area of a B-27 target at 15 yards in one continuous FA stream of fire.

We also did head shots at 7 yards on FA requiring three shot bursts, only regulated by your trigger activation... Not the three shot burst mode...

Funny as hell, huh? I was trying to find one where Mr. T says "Ah suffa no foos!" (because I know he used to say that one), but I ran across this one and I had to put it up because it is so great.

Not "all" need correcting. Perhaps you've noticed that I'm not the only one doing the correcting? When you spout opinion as fact, when you refuse to answer simple questions because you know that they show your inexperience, ignorance of facts and that you are wrong, you NEED correcting so that the rest of the readers are not lead astray by your MISinformation. Not to worry, you're not the only one.

No problem. I was taught by many people who shared what they know. I do the same.

Not really an admission, just a simple fact. I'm retired and while I have a couple of side jobs, I work when I want to.

Such behavior is rare. It bears noting.

I'm sorry that my posting of facts made you feel ignorant. I'd suggest that in the future you not expose your yourself quite so often.

I NEVER said "I suffer no fools." I DID say "I don't suffer fools lightly." Your intentional misquote is dishonest and shows YOUR true colors.

As little as I like Wikipedia, here's what it says,
"Suffer fools gladly" is a well-known phrase in contemporary use, first coined by Saint Paul in his second letter to the people of Corinth. The full verse of the original source of the idiom, 2 Corinthians 11:19 (KJV), reads "For ye suffer fools gladly, seeing ye yourselves are wise." The New International Version states "You gladly put up with fools since you are so wise!" In its current usage, the meaning of the negative, not to suffer fools gladly, has been stated by the Cambridge Idiom Dictionary, 2nd Ed. (2006), as "to become angry with people you think are stupid".

Your link was appropriate, the cartoon title "World's Craziest Fools." Looks as if the shoe fits you perfectly.

SVT−40 those are both part of the H & K test for become certified as an "MP−5 Operator." But we've been told that what you've described is quite impossible, so I guess we're wrong, it can't be done!

I think that Mr. T's statement, from Rocky 3 was "I pity the fool." Your flair for inaccuracy and misleading, continues.

I quote from the bible and you intentionally MISquote me and supply a quote from a Mr. T movie. I'm sure that the irony is lost on you.

In any case, any chance of you getting back on the topic?

This thread has legs. The next thread will ask "Does LE need anything more than a revolver and shotgun? From my point of view (my Lazyboy recliner), I say NO.

What I've learned from this thread is that if I want a ton of responses to a thread, I should start it with, "Does Law Enforcement really need..."

Like "Does Law Enforcement really need tactical riding lawnmowers?"

or "Does Law Enforcement really need mesh half-shirts?"

Almost complete assurance that the overwhelming response will still be, "Police are militarized! I know because theres this department that does this thing that is absolutely legal but I don't agree with, therefore it's also completely representational of all LEOs everywhere. Oh BTW, "AM I BEING DETAINED!?"

Do they really need those black and white government vehicles with all the expensive gadgets? Why can't they just provide their own vehicle and use removable stickers that say 'POLICE'?

I would not mind using my own vehicle for work, but the bosses do not care for my Chevy Astro-Van rolling on Daytons with the red velvet tuck and roll interior. It also sits a little too low for high speed pursuits and Art Laboe would drown out the dispatcher as he shouts out the dedications.

Does Fargo need all that firepower and for what?

Al quida isn't going to attack Fargo. Those weapons will ultimately be used to suppress civilians opposing a government mandated confiscation or round up based on some political or class repression such hitlers Jews or mao's intelligentsia or Obamas upper and upper middle class.

So my answer is police should be limited to at most AR15's, but no drones, robots, rpg's, etc. no fully auto weapons, no M3hB's, no armored personal carriers.
I love America for the rights and freedoms we used to have.
