I get that we can't keep crossing everyone off the GTG list but my experience was pretty bad and I wanted to pass it on.
I was out there last week. Stopped in the reloading store and bought some [actual] bullets and asked which of the primers to use with them. I didn't even need primers (I already had 2.5k of them at home) but I wanted to support the shop. Anyway I took the mildly overpriced (forty something dollars for 1k) ones the employee recommended and went home and double checked (I'm new to reloading but I have yet to blow myself, or my rifle, up by double checking everything). Wrong primers... Remington 6.5s... not recommended for .223 (the type of bullets I showed the employee and bought with the primers).
Ok; so I stop in today and I went over the issue quickly and ask about an exchange. Employee shows 0 concern someone at the reloading store is giving out bad reloading advice (doesn't ask day, time, or who helped) and says nothing he can do. Points to policy on the wall that says certain things can't be returned. I say; you could do something to make it right even if it means I keep these and get some kind of store credit. Guy repeats himself saying nothing he can do despite my pointing out I think he could do something to make it right if he wanted to. Goes another round of nothing he can do at which point I can't tell if it is just delta bravo-aggery on his part or he is trying to tell me he doesn't have the authority (but he does never offer to try to escalate up to an owner and/or help me in any way). I say ok then but I'll never be back. Guy says ok. I leave and write this up. Gonna post it up on yelp next.
To top it off; because of the hazmat shipping rules I can't just ship this to them (to get a signature / evidence I gave them their item back) and dispute it on my credit card. It would cost almost as much as the item to ship.... errrrrr...
I'll still call and see if they'll do anything...
