Ethics can be viewed as a balance beam. In this instance it doesn't seem to me that you have skewed the balance very far. It is also easy to lose money in the interest of ethics. Judgmentally speaking it seems to me that few say much if you only lose 'somewhat' on a deal. Make your decision, adjusted as you see fairly, and be comfortable with it. JMO.

If you like the guy and youre both doing each other a favor get your money back and maybe a $10 or $20 premium. you dont lose money and he gets a fair shake. he is your neighbor after all.

Sell it for $640 and be done with it. Do something good and help another pro 2a have a gun while you still get your money back!

No sense in making the friendship sour over $150. Tell him what you paid for the RIA then tell him how much you want for it and you'll see if he really doesn't care about the price.

If you ask what's ethical you don't have good ethics. Anyone that stands to make money will bend "ethical" decisions to their favor always.

I have never expected someone to pay me back for TAX and DROS when selling a firearm.
