This is a failure to extract, not a failure to eject. This matters because the causes of each can be quite different.

Since the case remains in the chamber after the round is fired I would assume the extractor is slipping off the rim of the case. If the case comes out easily with a finger nail or tool, I would rule out a tight chamber.

In my opinion the cause is likely a faulty extractor or insufficient extractor tension.

Ruger has been selling .22 LR pistols for generations.

Ever notice that you really don't see many Rugers for sale in the CG forum???

Ever notice that you see a lot of Mosquitos for sale????

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Ha ha I already have a Mark I, II, and III. The knife isn't hurting. I know they are reliable. Doesn't stop me from buying and trying other guns.

Good advice. I'd also take a look at the hook on the extractor. Make sure it can bite the case rim and is parallel with the rim. Also make sure it isn't rounded off or broken. Sometimes you can rework an extractor hook.

Are you still in HB? If you ever wanted to meet at Field Time in Stanton one of these nights I've got Minimags and M22's if you wanted to try em out. I actually like the way the M22's seem to shoot compared to the minimags (10/22 and a GSG 1911-22)

I got a mosquito in jail waiting for when I get back from vacation! I was on the fence because of the mixed reviews as well, but just like you, it just felt right when I held it! Got plenty of mini mags, m-22s, fed bulk, automatch, golden boolits, ect to run some tests, but after reading MHshooters review and that mini mags are good to go, I felt like I had a fallback plan. I have a buddy who polished up the feed ramp and smoothed out some of the rough surfaces and said she'll eat anything he feeds her. Good luck!

Nice! Good to hear, I got the 2 tone as well. I'll anticipate a little break in period and "keep her well lubed". Lol

                      Lube the gun
                      Use the correct recoil spring
Use mini mags or other 36-40 grain high velocity ammo

It's right there in the manual.

Plus one on ammo in bag with light oil idea.

Yeah. I was at field time a few weeks ago actually. I'll let you know.

                        Thanks
