Definitely try swapping out the spring. I've heard a lot of others have pretty good success with it.

I know others advise against it, but I lube mine pretty well too. Not dripping wet, but not bone dry either.

Also, on the right side of the slide, there's a tiny hole, add a drop of oil there too. Its suppose to lube the extractor, might take care of your problem of the gun not ejecting the spent brass.

I hate to say it. I obtained a Sig Mosquito and the thing will NOT eject the brass after the round is fired. Extremely fickle machine from such a high end company is crazy to me. I've already put in a purchase for CCI ammo as everywhere I've read that is what makes this little toy run. All I have 7 H&K's and some Springfields and I can count on one hand over the past 15 years how many failures these have had.

Having said that I picked up a Blackwater P226 and a P220 Elite .45, and both of these things are absolute nail drivers! Extremely tight groups from 15-30 yards. Which again is why it baffles me such a "high end" company like Sig would not have a fix for this Mosquito issue.

Sorry to post something that has been covered before. Just add me to the list of slightly disappointed Mosquito owners. I LOVE HOW THE GUN FEELS, LOOKS, ETC. Just with it would run. I would never rely heavily on this firearm if anything even remotely serious were on the line.
With that massive collection of uber-$$$ elite tactical specops expert operator hardware, WTF is an Operator like you doing with a Mosquito? The most rudimental internet search would reveal that Mosquitoes are hit or miss with anything but Mini Mags and different examples have different preferences. My wife's gobbles up Golden Bullets & Blazer bulk like candy.

Of course... I also read the manual & followed the instructions... I reallize it's unmanly but I R lowly n00b...

Like I said. I saw the reviews weren't the best, but I just like how the little guy looked ha ha.

You are right. I have fully automatic Class III weapons, suppressors, etc etc in my collection, but it was just calling my name I guess. Still love the gun. Wouldn't take it to "war" now, but it should be alright once I find what it eats well.

If I had to take a .22 somewhere I would take my Smith and Wesson, Mark III, or on of my Browning Buckmarks if I really needed something reliable.

Can you describe the nature of the failure, specifically?

-Insert Mag and chamber a round
-Pull trigger and round exits barrel, but failure to eject brass
-Eject brass by manually working slide
-Repeat over and over until mag is empty

The thing won't fire consecutive rounds without me manually ejecting the brass in between each trigger pull.

Sorry. Should have put that up top in the first post.

It happened to my wife's mosquito the first time we took it to range, fte and ftf every 2 rounds or more.
After cleaning and lubrication, no more fte and ftf. We use 36gr and 40 gr. hallow point and solid. We use Remington golden bullet, Winchester super x, CCI mini mag.

Nice! Good to hear. Not to worry. I'll be making many many more trips out with it to find out what she likes. Thanks for the feedback though. I'll lube her up and shoot 40 gr. because I was shooting 36 gr. ammo this past trip.

I experienced the same failure to fire issue with mine. The solution to the problem was to keep the gun well lubed (Frog lube works fine for me) and use High Velocity Ammo at first, once you break it in it will start being less picky and will run on almost any kind and velocity of ammo. For the Failure to eject issue, you may want to try lubing the actual ammo by placing it in a ziplock bag, adding a few drops of Frog lube or oil and shaking around a bit.

Op, you might already know this but just in case not yet, it is important to squeeze a drop of oil in the hole on the left side next to safety. That will make the cycling smooth.

I had a bull barrel for a 10/22..fte almost all the time. Finally had chamber barely opened up as the tolerance was for match ammo and would choke on everything else I fed it. It now runs runs flawlessly after chamber polished/opened

Forgive me, but do you mean the empty case is left in the chamber, or is the empty case pinched in the breach leaving the gun out of battery?

Bummer to hear you're having issues. I finally tried mine out and it went mag after mag with M22, Mini-Mags(CPRN/CPHP). I have some Federal auto match coming soon so it should do fine with that also.

Yeah it's shooting about 4 inches high too. I'll get it dialed in with ammo etc. Thanks for letting me know which ammo was running best in yours.
