    45acp on a 44magnum revolver

Can you shoot 45acp on a 44magnum revolver by using a half moon clip?

You'll only do it once, if at all. A .44 magnum has a .430" bore diameter, a .45 ACP has a diameter of .452. BAD IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

If you do please have a video of it for your application for the Darwin Award.

Would you use a hammer to get the round in? But then you said you wanted to shoot it "on" the revolver and not "in" the revolver. So I am not sure how you really plan to shoot it. just kidding

But as stated before, video please.

You can actually shoot .45ACP in a .45LC (or 454Casull or 460S&W) revolver, but not just by using half moon clips. You need a different cylinder. Freedom Arms can set you up with that.

As many others have said .45ACP in 44Mag would be suicidal. By the way, I know a really good hand surgeon, and he needs money.

No, but you can shoot .44 special in a .44 magnum revolver and .44 special is very close in power to a .45 ACP. Also, a Ruger Blackhawk can be had in .45 Colt with an extra "conversion" cylinder so you can shoot .45 ACP out of the same gun. Changing cylinders is quick and easy, requiring no tools.

Get a S&W Model 625 that's actually chambered in .45 ACP. Or a 1917 Colt or Smith revolver.
