I already intend to protect them I might even have the firing pins put in my smaller safe so they cant be fired at all. I like target practice i don't need them currently for protection.

Now if my mom would not have had ALL my dads guns melted down no way would any of them be in that house.

For starters, not all felons are violent criminals. There are all kinds of "paper felonies" ranging from embezzlement to felony graffiti (no joke this is actually a felony if over a certain dollar amt of damage).

It sounds like you're still local. If you need a place to store them temporarily, PM me. Another option would be storing them at a local range. I know the Agoura Range rents lockers for handgun storage but, has nothing to secure long guns. I've never been to Shooter Paradise in Oxnard so, I don't know if they have lockers to rent or what but, give them a call and find out. Also, as far as safes go, you typically get what you pay for. In you situation a cheap safe will be 100 times better than no safe so, check out Costco, Walmart and Home Depot.
