waiting period time

Okay I believe this may have been asked thousand of time. But I have to asked again or ask. Now I understand any pistol "handguns " once you buy one you will end up waiting a 30 days period to buy again which I understand and know. But I'm not supper sure about rifls and shootguns. Is their a 30 days waiting period too? Which the last time I hear that a one day wait to buy another is this true...For example if I bought a rifle today and wait 24hrs to buy another rifle can I, or rifle then a shootgun either way shootgun then rifle. The reason being ask is that I need for hunting sport used. Am I allowed too do it within a 24 hrs waiting time?

1 in 30 is only for new pistol sales. Handgun PPT's are exempt from this rule. Long guns are not restricted by this rule at all.
