I have the executive membership, and the rewards I get back pay for the membership, so it's free. Even with the basic membership, you pay because they sell in bulk, and you get a deal. You pay at a gun show to buy things at inflated prices from know it all *******s. At least the people who work at Costco try to be nice to you.

Gun shows in California suck. Everything is retail plus 25% minimum.

This has nothing to do with CA. It's the same all over the country. If you on't like it, either hunt for the bargains like I do, don't go or become a vendor and offer everything at you table at a deep discount.

Went to ghetto gun show here in Eureka a Redwood Acres and my kid was free but my child is 4 so I don't know when they start to charge for them.

I wanted to take my son and my friends son to the gun show here in Chico this weekend. I thought it would be a good opportunity to show my friends son all the things 2A related. Both kids are twelve. I knew there would be a $6 fee for me, but little did I know they wanted to charge $6 per kid as well. $24 just to go in to a tiny gun show?!?!? I said no way, turned around and went to the free flea market next door.

This chaps me because we should encourage attendance by children so that they grow up with a positive view on our constitutional rights. Why charge for kids that cant really buy anything there? No wonder it feels like we are losing the fight. Seems like profit comes before rights...

The unfortunate reality is that many of us are making do with tighter budgets. That's true for lots of people.

So the issue to me is that the gun show value proposition just isn't there. Ammo and accessories can all be found on-line for somewhat reasonable prices. Sure, you'll find a few bargains at the show, but how many bargains do you need to find to cost justify the parking and entry fees?

I don't begrudge the the Gun Show, or anyone trying to make a living but the value just isn't there for me. If I had more $$ to spare, it might make more sense for me, but right now, it doesn't.
