Should have told the guy in the store that you were offended by his unprofessional redneck t-shirt and that you were making a formal complaint about him, his shirt and his service.

Also recently just completed purchasing remington 597 from dicks, in clovis.
When I first purchased it, one guy,who looked professional, was very polite and helpful.
When I picked up I had to hunt down someone,( who I mentioned to my gf, looks like he should be playing a banjo on a bridge somewhere) to help me.
Also wearing plain clothes. Was extremely rude. After taking my id and examining it for a while said he would have to get the manager which he did.
Who looked even more out of deliverance.
And also examined my id. Finally went to get my gun. Then when I went to inspect, informs me that I cannot touch the weapon.
Well after the first fella holds my gun while I look for any damage, and the manager completes the paperwork.
He then Carries it to the front door.
Both were Pretty rude, almost egotistical like. Like they were better or something.
Bottom line, couple of idiots and I won't do business in there again.

Just another reason to stay away from Dick's. I stopped shopping there when my local stores stopped selling fishing gear.

Who goes to dicks to buy a gun?
"Then there are sheepdogs. The sheepdogs are the bastions of safety. The sheepdog lives solely to protect the flock and confront the wolf. They live for the opportunity to be called to duty to protect the innocent. The sheepdog has fangs and the propensity for violence but hopes that he will not have to resort to it. However, he lives for that day when he will be able to use his warrior skills and mindset to keep the wolf from harming the sheep."

Why would you buy at Dick's? After their AR-15 stunt, they'll never see one red cent of mine.
