I kinda try to keep it light. Surefire 9P and Glock 20 under the pillow, Benelli M3 (with buckshot and slugs) in the closet and my FAL at the foot of the bed.

But the safe which is in my bedroom has the Mak90 and AR (each with their respective loaded drums and mags) ready to go.

Do you think I'm weird to also have a load bearing vest with 8 fully loaded mags for the FAL, holster and extra mags for the Glock and Cold Steel Trailmaster at the foot of the bed? Sometimes I worry myself.

USP .45 Compact on my side of the bed holstered with 9 hydra-shoks ready to go along with a S&W ExtremeOps folder. I currently keep a Mag-Light 2D, but it will be replaced this week with a DigiLight. On Thursday, we will be swearing in an FN TPS for bedroom duty. My fiancee will also soon have two 9mm's to select from. An FN FNP9 (relatively soon) and a CZ-75B (hopefully within the next month). Should the SHTF, these will be what allow us to fight are way to the "good stuff."

Funny you should mention this. I was telling my fiancee the other night that every now and then I have these thoughts every once in a while. Basically the thoughts center around me reacing over to my nightstand for my USP while asleep and shooting myself. Very weird. Anytime I have these thoughts, I simply drop the mag and unchamber the round in the chamber, put it in the drawer and goto bed. It happens a handful of times a year.

            Those instances I can tolerate.

But the dreams that annoy the heck out of me is that common dream most gun owners have. It's the one where you are doing whatever it is you normally do on a weekend day and all of a sudden you get into a confrontation of some sort, thus you go for your gun. But as you are attempting to pull the trigger, you either 1) get greeted with the 100lb trigger pull or 2) nothing happens when you manipulate the trigger.

ARGH! AGGRIVATING! But I read in some gun rag that this is a very common dream for most gun owners. It probably happens two or three times a year for me.

12 guage Berretta by the bed, either G34 with extra mag or S&W 4013 with extra mag in bed with me. I too have crashed out with the CZ52 at bedside but like stated before, it's more of a motivation to get up n get out one of the regulars.

My dreams are always about me in a gun fight and my bullets not doing anything when they hit the BG. No matter how much I shot them they don't even flinch. It always results in me having hand to hand combat with the guy/s until I wake up.

SOB!!..I have those dreams as well...My girlfriend thinks im crazy. I knew that Glock trigger was bad but why do I have to use all my strength to pull it. I also have the fending off a seige type dreams. Sometimes Im fighting off bands of marauders(sp?) or could be some weird insect monsters.

Mossberg 590 12 ga under my side of the bed. Loaded with alternating .00 buck and dove loads. Ammo can with about 150 rounds sitting next to it. Empty chamber, safety on. Bersa .380 in g/fs nightstand drawer, empty chamber, safety on, extra mag next to it.

My offlisters are in a cabinet in my desk, I guess if all else failed I could throw them at the bad guys (still bare lowers at this point)....

I keep a Mossy 500 in the closet and a Ruger P-90 next to it. It takes a few extra seconds to get to them but when I do, I'm fully awake and aware of what's going on. I'd hate to be half asleep and shoot someone I didn't want to.
