How many guns do you keep around your bed?

So how many do you keep in arms length from your bed and what kind? I always try and keep two in my Gunvault on my night stand. One being my trusted Glock17 with 2 17rd mags and the other was my 1911 before I sold it. My new CZ97b will replace the 1911. I keep two because I want one to be there for my wife should I get hit.

I want to put my 870 in my bedroom but I have yet to find a fast and secure way to store it. I have two small kids so I want to be as safe a I can but I don't want to spent more then 5 seconds unlocking it.

I keep my 11yr old trusty SA Inc 1911A1 I keep 1 mag in the firearm and 2 spares. All are loaded with PMC Starfires. This 1911A1 has well over 20K rounds through it and has never jammed on me or had any FTF or FTE issues. It use to be my PPC handgun.

A friend of mine keeps a loaded rifle under his bed with the safety on. He has two small kids. No the gun is not ever locked up but the kids were taught at an early age that they would get beaten bloody if they ever touched the gun unsupervised. And no, they have never touched the gun...

And they were also taught how to safely handle a gun just incase.

If more parents were strict about guns and punished their kids when they do something wrong, we wouldnt have to worry about all this gun lock nonsense.

1911 in a Gunvault under the bed, 870 or M37 or High Standard Riot in the corner next to the bed.

Colt Double Eagle .45 in range bag on top of 3 ammo cans beside my bed and a Walther P99 on top of the fridge. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and it's hard to call a time-out so I can run to the bedroom for my weapon. I'll probably never have to rely on them, but...

I'm sure people cringed when you said it wasn't locked, but there was a time not so long ago when guns were never locked up and kids were taught firearm etiquette at an early age.
