No kidding.. I could not believe the price that I was quoted over the phone so I had to head over there because I had asked Soldier415 what a good price for one would be and I was about to commit on getting it from DCM but thank god that the call got disconnected and I decided to call around. Good freaking price. They also have the "Light weight" version and they are selling that one for 1k. Good freaking deal and they got a loyal customer from now on. Their ammo prices are not that bad either. Almost the same with internet prices. I will be going back tomorrow to pick up a 1k rounds of .223 that I saw for a good price.

            What he said.

As I told you last night, this is the same gun I carry at the shop and trust my life to. Groups 1-2 Inches at 7 yards at 1 shot per 2 seconds.

Feels great, shoots great...and looks just damn sexy

                Very nice on the Operator.

I've been drawn to a full-rail SA TRP Operator for a while now. It just feels like one hell of a gun. Too bad they only have the half-rail available now.

Is yours the full-rail or half-rail?

is the half rail. I read on the internet (can't remember the site) where it said that SA stopped doing the full rail back in 06.

They did. I was curious if you got one of the new or older models.

I've handled both, but the full-rail just... calls..

                    Maybe I've got a thing for full-rail 1911s..

I agree with you on that one. That full rail looks more intimidating than the half rail. Could not find a place that had the full rail one and you know how it is, when you see a gun that you like "You must have it quick".

Congrats on the new 1911 Chief. I'm betting that crate of HK's you cart around is going to feel kinda neglected now

How about a 6" long slide with 3/4 rail?

Glad I could convert you over to the 1911 disease! Ive done a little bit of conversions to mine. I chose Hogue wraparound grips, and replaced the barrel bushing with a full length guide rod. I have two of the operators, one with the half rail and one with the full rail. My full rail variant will remain unmolested since I did so many mods to my half rail. My half rail will actually be accompanying me to Iraq this year as well.

It very well could be! Btw, did you meet Sgt Koch yet? Said he was heading out this week or next week to work with Petalumas Sappers unit on their armory. They just finished up on our weapons inspection the other day.
