    Shooting Glock 19 & XD9

Pretty new to firearms. Got those two since few months ago.

I am practicing at 20 ft target. With XD, I can get 3" group. However, I was horrible with the Glock. I shot all over the target. Most of them to the left.

How to get improve with it?

Formal firearms training. If you don't know what is correct, how can you do any constructive practice?

Need more training on the Glock trigger!
If you could shoot a Glock, you will have no problems with other guns.
      Hahaha!!!

theoretically, the Glock angle of grip/barrel is radically different from most other pistols, the 1911 being the gold standard for natural pointing angle

that said, the women I've worked with, that understand lining up their sights and pressing the trigger without disturbing the sights have been fairly accurate with almost any gun that isn't a double action/DAO

12-15#s is a lot when you don't have as much grip strength; image a 40# trigger and you get the idea

with enough training, almost anyone with normal strength and dimensions will do fine

guns are just tools; some work better for you than others specific to your individual traits, but ultimately... guns are just pots and pans

the only thing that really matters is that it functions the way you expect it to reliably

Between the glock and the xd you are dealing with the same grip angle as the difference between a glock and an xd. Either learn to shoot both or dump the glock and buy guns with a 1911 grip angle. Also practice, practice, practice. Spend some money on instruction and you will improve much quicker.

Looks like you found out you should sell the glock and stick with the xd since you can shoot better with it. Not knocking the glock but the grip and point of aim of the xd suited me better, and I just recently sold my xd and moved on to the 1911 platform.
