Springfield probably sent a nasty cease&desist letter. I bet anyone receiving "prototype" samples were required to sign some sort of NDA. Publishing photos of unreleased, proprietary data is probably somewhat illegal.

Well, I didn't sign any NDA, they just happen to be floating around the net and ended up in my IE Temp Files folder.

BTW, looking at the photos several times, the gun is FUGLY!!

I think SA is trying to differientate their product from Glock. Too many people see XD's and think they're Glocks. The guns look very similar.

I don't care for the front or back strap looks but the rest of the pistol looks good to me. I also notice that they added the side cuts for the thumb and trigger finger like the Steyr M model pistols have.
