    Burned by USPS

Made a trade on here and the package was supposed to be delivered this past Saturday. Tracking shows that it was delivered but the key to the parcel box was never in my mailbox. I've tried calling their Customer Support, Consumer Affairs and spoke to the manager of the local postal service. They are basically saying that if no one returns or brings me the items I am SOL. Pretty lame as it was parts for my first AR build and I was really looking forward to putting it together.

Make sure to get Signature confirmation or insurance if you send anything out of high value..

I've had this happen and then the package gets delivered a while later. Tracking blows at USPS so you might have a shot at getting the parts yet. Good luck.

Yeah, don't give up just yet. I had a registered mail package worth about $3,000 go missing after a missed delivery once. Post office supervisor, who was the least helpful person I have ever dealt with, basically told me it was probably re-directed and if it shows up we'll call. It showed up two weeks later, after Mr. Unhelpful had contacted me to tell me it was lost and I should ask the vendor for a replacement, in the post office holding area for domestic registered mail. Turned out it had been sitting there (exactly where it was supposed to be) the entire time but nobody had bothered to look. Good luck.

I had the same thing happen on a COD.Chrismas is a bad time of year at the post office. The mailman left a notice but dated it 6-23 instead of 12-23,must have been very busy.I went and show them the note, they didn't look very hard and said "can't find it, you must have got this months ago".I said i never had used a COD before.I came back in January and they found it, it had been there all the time of course.

At least it wasn't UPS they just leave it leaning against your door or huck it over a fence lol. I had my $600 upper come in a long poster style tube signature required. I came home from work to find it leaning length wise against my door for anyone to see and steal. That pissed me off I won't let anyone ship me UPS anymore.

I had USPS deliver a box full of gun parts to the wrong house. Kept badgering the delivery man and the post office and they finally found it and brought it to me. Dude just straight dropped it at the wrong house. Label was correct and everything.

Had the same thing happen. Talk to the USPS again, speak to a postal inspector. Find out who else got a package or had a key. I found out a neighbor "accidentally" took my box as well as theirs.

I found a package in my backyard one week after is was delivered, seems he didn't want anyone to steal it. Wish someone would've to told me.

OpSec buddy. He can't leave a note saying "your package is in your garage." Now, he COULD have left clues, then you could go all Indiana Jones all over the world only to end up in your backyard. And movies being what they are, it would've been one week anyway. By the way, you didn't go into your backyard for a whole week?

I would wait for your mail person to show up and tell them what happened. The people in charge rarely tell the guy/gals doing the leg work the correct story.
Chance are its sitting somewhere and they will get it to you.
Very few packages ever truly get lost. They are usually quickly recovered and re-delivered.
You want to contact your local post office as well and ignore the service that contacts them for you in the phone book. Those people are not postal employees they just process your complaint and e-mail it to your local office.

I actually caught her while she was delivering mail on Monday (first delivery day following the delivery date) and spoke to her. She said she wasn't delivering on Saturday (the day it was supposedly delivered) but she was very nice and called her back up. The other lady said she doesn't remember delivering anything for my address. I have verified with the sender that it was sent to the correct address and spoked to the Manager at the branch where they do the sorting. They have looked around there and haven't found it. The manager was supposed to call me back today but he didn't so i'll give him a couple days before I call him back. I'm hoping whoever they ended up delivering it to gives it back.

                        Zip is 95835.

Screw The usps. Last Thursday i mailed a cashiers check and paid The extra $6 to sent it certified mail. I used The tracking # and It has not even left The local post Office. I called The post Office and they dont know What happen to it. Now I have to have The Bank Cancel The check. Maybe I will fedex or ups The check this time. Damn federal workers.

Last time I had trouble. The supervisor didn't want to help I contacted the Post Master General all of a sudden I was getting calls from the post office to see how they could help.

I usually call their CS multiple times and eventually the package will show up. December is really bad for packages.
