Went in today with my wife to check it out. Had to get buzzed in a locked door by another customer coming out, got a rude look from some recrptionist/guard lady at front door, ignored or rude looks from at least two other employees that didnt welcome or offer to see if i was interested in looking at anything. I waited at the counter for almost 5 minutes obviously looking interested in looking at some guns. At least three employees not dealing with anyone didn't offer any help, I had to ask. Worst first impression of a shop I've ever had! Even my wife said if she had been new to guns and checking it out for the first time she would have been completely turned off from it and walked away for ever. In this day and political environment this is not the rude impression we need to make on possible new commers much less gun lovers like me and my wife! Definetely do not recommend this shop!

Range Masters SLO POOR service

I bought my first gun PPT through Four Seasons on Higuera. Super friendly and helpful people. You get a smile and good morning when you walk through the door.
When I came back to pick up the gun they were very busy, but I never felt like I was getting the brush off. Keep in mind they made next to no money from me since it was a PPT and I wasn't buying anything else (didn't have ammo in my caliber), but they were still friendly.
They also had lots of stock, if you wanted a rifle their back wall was covered.Comment

Its like when I ignore the "wait to be seated" sign and go take my own table...then everyone is rude with me... god service people are so inconsiderate...Comment

It is good to hear there are still good shops in San Luis Obispo County! This experience made me and my wife sick to our stomachs, I was a 10th generation San Luis Obispo county resident till I moved away after college. At least McLintocks still has good food!SI VIS PACEM, PARA BELLUMComment

So are you trying to say that the OP violated some unwritten rule at the shop by not waiting to be buzzed in seperatly from the exiting customer and brought the rude service on himself??Comment

I bet the employees there sit around the shop playing with the guns and BSing the whole day while complaining about how this would be a great place to work if they didn't keep getting interrupted by all these customers.Last edited by Steve_In_29; 04-11-2013, 9:42 PM.Comment

As I posted in another thread, I won't even go into Rangemasters anymore. Pretty much the same experience you had but time after time. Had enough of it and won't go in for the range or to browse anymore.Comment

I've been there three times and not had a bad experience yet. Haven't been in about a year (don't live in the area). Last time I was in there was a sign outside that said to buzz and wait, not to enter as customers leave, and to remove hats and sunglasses before entering.Comment
