I had a completely built unfired OLL rifle but I sold the upper and my daughter just sweet talked me out of the built lower receiver yesterday.

I think those are just gimmick words to get you to bid on Gunbroker. They mean nothing to me, I keep a firearm NIB about as long as it takes me to get home, and then unfired as long as it takes me to get to the hills.

Besides, no one actually keeps a gun unfired and NIB.

Because some of us buy guns to use them as "investment pieces".
Case in point, 1988, I bought 5 Uzi's from a pawnshop on Hill St. in Oceanside, outside of Camp Pendleton, I paid about $2100.00 out the door for all five of them. In 1997 I sold ONE of those Uzi's for $4500.00 and still retain the others. they flucuate in value due to the supply/demand but they will always go up in value! All are NIB, unopened from the day I got them with original receipts. Ive got Lars Grizzlys, AMT Automags, A complete series of Glock, including Glock 25 & Glock 28. The only model that I dont have is a Glock 18 series. All of these are investment pieces. They only go up in value as far as im concerned. At some point, if times ever get hard, then I will sell them off one piece at a time.

Collectors of all things want " as it came from the fatory", no difference if its cars, toys, coins or firearms.

There can be a millon of them, but how many are left "new in the box"? As they came from the factory.

The production number will never change...what gets lower and lower is the number of new in box guns as more and more use NIB pieces as shooters....throw the box away and lose the papers. The less there are......the more its worth to a collector.
