1. Fire you.
2. You get your guard card (not sure if it's called that)
3. Find a job w/ a security company
4. Have her hire that company
5. Then you get assigned to her store.

Any employee can carry a firearm at work with the permission of the owner. The owner of a business can carry a conceled weapon on their person.
Any employee can with permission from the owner have a loaded firearm in a desk, drawer, cabinet or whatever. The firearm need not be locked up, but just like at home, if a minor gets a hold of it, you and the owner are on the hook.

So to the OP. If your boss give you permission you can keep a loaded firearm at your desk. No other person can have access to it, since you don't know if they are prohibited or not. You should explain that to the boss and have a lock on the drawer that only you have access too.

Like other have stated, perfectly legal with business owners permission.

Aren't you allowed to carry in private business? Take her to the range.. and it's nice to hear someone being open minded ... I guess it's a little different when its your arse on the line huh?

It seems to always boil down to personal preservation. Too bad it takes a possible life threatening situation before they seperate their head from anus.

Just curious, if you guys leave work... say you're walking her to her car parked on the street (off property). The perp presents himself and threatens you both. That becomes an issue then? Just throwing that out there...

Ignorance is bliss. Depending on the situation if the shoot is deemed a pc197 then your in the clear criminally. Then you'll have to deal with the civil courts, that's where insurance get's involved and when it can get really expensive.
Remember one thing, you shoot to end the threat. If someone has a round go through their leg, can they still fight and remain a threat?

most anti gun ppl soon change their toon when they see that the police can't and won't protect them. especially when violence is on their doorstep and they have to answer defenseless.

-get permission from the boss/owner
-carry concealed
-limit who carries and make sure those who carry are qualified and willing to take such great and grave responsibility
-pray nothing happens
