Drinking is not only worse for you but effects your mental health in more serious ways. Ill put it this way, go to a sports game, watch people get in fights, are they stoned... or are they DRUNK????

I dunno man. People can go to a ball game and get drunk with beer that they bought from a vendor there. They can't go up to a machine and buy a joint or a brownie and use it right there. So there's going to obviously be more drunk people than high people right? I've seen a bunch of high people get into fights and stupid mischeif for no good reason. I don't think either one is safer than the other, but I also don't think that one is worse than the other.

My wife gets very very very upset when the CLP comes out. So I clean my guns in the basement so she can't smell the CLP while I'm doing it but I make sure the smell comes back up with me to bother her.

That's surprising. I kind of think CLP has a nice smell compared to other solvents. In fact, I have a bottle of the stuff right next to me. *sniff* mmmmm, nice.

4473 is a federal form, and smoking marijuana is a federal offense.

1) It is not a "prescription" it is a recommendation.!

2) The 4473 says "unlawful" and IMHO the answer to your question hinges on your beliefs about the unlawfulness of using marijuana.

3) Counties currently issue ID cards to patients with recommendations, but you'd have to be an idiot to get one of those if you own firearms. To stop the feds from finding out who has ID cards SF gives you back all your paper work when get the card. The only they keep on record is the serial number of the card. If you get busted state or local they can verify it is a county issued card even though they do not have your name or address.

Personally, I would think that since dope is not quite an accepted norm for society to partake in then it would be in extremely poor taste and lack of good judgement to advocate it's use on this forum as we are trying to get all the support we can.

Totally random, but my roommate in college last semester smoked weed. He was a cool guy, but I couldn't stand the smell of that stuff.
