That PPU ammo is actually pretty clean. I've fire both the 9mm and .40

Walmart in Stevenson Ranch still just as bare or more-so than the last time I checked. The department manager practically knows me now from my frequent visits. Before I even turned the corner into the ammo aisle, she quickly said "nothing" and of course I still had to witness it for myself. This was at about noon today. If there are people coming in at 7am and wiping them completely out before I can get there at noon...YIKES. I think I'll keep going back to Oak Tree and stock up on their 9mm reloads for a while, considering I pay about the same price.

Winchester .45ACP and 9mm in 50 and 100 round boxes are at the Wal*Mart in Aero Drive as of this writing @ 1:16am. The 100 round boxes of each are $40 and $22 respectively; I think the 50 round boxes are probably 1/2 of those prices. There were about.....a dozen boxes of each while I was in there. Naturally, no .223/5.56...

WM in Duarte, CA has some uncommon rifle calibers, 12 gauge, .22 mag, and some .45 ACP defensive rounds. No popular handgun calibers or .223 or 5.56 or 7.39.

Milpitas is dryer than the Sahara desert. A couple 12guage, 410, 380 hd ammo, 38 special. Each one listed above had no more than 2 boxes. Nothing other then that. Would post pic, but im on mobile.

I spoke with a manager @ the Walmart in Foothill Ranch. He said he had not gotten a shipment of 9MM in 6 weeks. I confronted him on the fact that there is not an ammo shortage that would cause 6 week delays, especially since I can still find it, albiet over-priced, at the ranges I go to.

He said that the main warehouses have been holding back the stock, not delivering to ANY Walmarts. They supposedly have a ton of popular pistol ammo just sitting collecting dust at the distribution hubs.

In any case, I really hope this run on pistol ammo is over with, nobody is threatening pistols at this time. At least the range I go to in Anaheim has plenty of factory and re-loads, so I just buy a few bags of the re-loads for target practice and they work just fine in my XD9.

Went to Walmart in Beaumont today... not much. I bought the last box of 45. They have a few boxes of 9mm and 38 special. No 40 and no 223. Doesnt sound like they are getting any ammo anytime soon. I asked the "sports counter lady" when they could expect to get some ammo? just more bad news.

This is definitely not true. My local walmarts (Huntington Beach/Irvine) have been getting steady small shipments of handgun ammo, its a crapshoot as to what they actually get, but they are getting stuff in. The new Irvine location just opened last week and had a FULLY stocked ammo case (which all disappeared within that day unfortunately haha).

I love how people post up, " they had x amount of 9mm (or whatever other) but I bought them all." Niiiiiiiice, what a bunch of unselfish sharing folks they are! Thanks for telling us what they had before you bought it all up. It is very helpful and kind of you! Such giving folks we have on here. Bless you all my sweet angels!

Walmart in Fresno yesterday had had 50 boxes of 9mm PPU at $14 for a box, I only bought 250 rounds to share the whealth.
