The Ukiah Walmart was almost bare, again. There was some American Eagle 50gr .223, $11.97, 3 box limit. I got the .223.
There was some WWB 38 Special, $24.97/100rds I would have bought if there wasn't the .223.

I was in Huntington Beach last night. Bare bones. Some 22 magnum 270 30.06 mostly rifle caliber. No pistol ammo and a few boxes of 410 20 and some 12 bird shot. No bulk packs anywhere. Walked by this guy who was staring at the empty case shaking his head and asking if they have any 223 in the back. Just pitiful

Chico WM is out of all handgun rounds, and they've pulled the price stickers down, too. There are air rifles in the case now.
They do have 20 gauge slugs, some less popular hunting calibers, and a few boxes of rifled 12 ga slugs.

Oroville WM has no "limit" signs, but not much on the shelf other than plenty of 12ga and 20ga - mostly 7 1/2 shot.
Just taking up space in (what is no longer) the second-worst small town in California.

Gilroy Walmart was bare aside from the oddball sizes. Called Salinas and they said nothing coming tomorrow.

                        Walmart Corporate?

I talked with one of the clerks at one of the new Walmarts in Irvine. He said there had been some sort of change with the Ammo orders that instead of the individual stores ordering that all orders go through corporate for Restock.

I wonder why they would be holding stuff back. Seems odd.

He said that the main warehouses have been holding back the stock, not delivering to ANY Walmarts. They supposedly have a ton of popular pistol ammo just sitting collecting dust at the distribution hubs.

In any case, I really hope this run on pistol ammo is over with, nobody is threatening pistols at this time. At least the range I go to in Anaheim has plenty of factory and re-loads, so I just buy a few bags of the re-loads for target practice and they work just fine in my XD9.

Was at the Aero Drive (San Diego) Wal-mart today, they had some 9mm and about 10 boxes of 223. This was about 11am this morning.

Just got out of Aero Drive Wal*Mart where they had some Remington Super X .223 55 grain; the only problem is it's $20 for 20 rounds so I passed on it. They had about 20 boxes there if any of you guys are interested. No 9, .45ACP, etc...

Was told by manager of sporting goods @ Jackson Wally world. He said walmart isn't ordering anything from bullet companies. Just gonna ship whatever is in thier warehouses and then stop selling ammo. Our case hasn't been restocked since early December.
