Haven't gone there in a few years. I don't recall it being very big, or having a lot of merchadise. Not a lot of venders at least a few years ago. May have changed, don't know. These days, I go to the Reno Show, or buy online.
If you're looking for a tshirt, rifle bags, or ammo it might be worth the trip.Manteca Sportsmen General website.

When I lived in Modesto I went and checked it out, last i was there was like 7-8 months ago. Anyway I remember it was very small when I got there. With the cost of admission between a friend and I we decided not to go in after eyeing the setups from the door. Biggest table there was muzzle loaders and saw a bunch of knives and other accessories i wasn't into. Not nearly enough ammo or guns to warrant me paying 8 bucks for.Comment

I just got back from Stockton about an hour ago.
It's small, about 8-9 room length tables.
Seems to me like there was a lot of guns there, reletively speaking. Mostly C&R Mausers, Nagants, a few Garands and Carbines, handguns, old rifles and shotguns. There was a bit more black rifle type stuff than I'm used to seeing (YMMV).
Not a lot of ammo.
Some jewelery, coins and knives, books, cheap optics.
Not a lot of foot traffic, but most everyone was carrying out a bag of something.
Free parking (unless I made a mistake and entered thru the Exit) and $8 to get in.
First show I've been to this year that actually had items I was shopping for, but I passed on them: Japanese T44 (too expensive) and a Marlin 1895 Cowboy (buggered up screw and receiver threads on a "new" rifle).
Oh, and jerky...can't forget the jerky!Comment

I checked it out earlier today. As stated it was mostly C&R and old nick nacs here and there. Only booth worth checking out was by Sonoma Firearms. Had several bare OLLs, a few complete ARs with BB and Stag and RRA uppers. I was happy to see him explain the legalities of the OLL and had all the paper work to back up what he said.If things don't go your way, just keep complaining until your dreams come true.

What were they asking for the Type 44 Arisaka Carbine???
Was kinda wondering what they are going for nowadays.... (I got the one grandpa brought back from the war).
Oh yeah, was Sonoma still trying to charge a "service fee" over the cost of DROS like last week in Yuba City? He wanted $25 for the dros, $50 service fee on top of the cost of the item and tax. I could be wrong on this (doubtful as I was only about 5 feet from him when he said it) but I doubt it.Last edited by gotgunz; 03-16-2008, 2:07 AM.Comment

Just got back. Small but more guns than I'm used to seeing. Buddy picked up a H&R Garand. He actually got a decent price on it. Found a couple gun cases and I made a pretty good deal on an Aimpoint and Yankee Hill rail. All in all not bad for a small show. No ammo though. There were Sunday afternoon deals to be had.Comment
