I am curious how LE or anyone buying through PPT can easily identify for the Long guns as the DROS process doesn't report any serial# in the computer system. I am curious as to how to even tell if I might be buying a stolen used long gun, for example? Thanks.

Most of icamps posts seem to be buying from the marketplace. I think he thought this was a list for sale, he doesn't seem to be a jerk.

I had a gun stolen and the chief of police said since it was registered I'll probably get it back sometime. That was about 10 years ago. Still waiting. Sorry for your loss.

And IN a safe. That sucks dude.
Privatley funded gun buy-back programs happening this weekend in Oakland and SF. $200.00 per gun, no questions asked, 3 gun max per person. Maybe they'd show up there?

I am just up the street in Grass Valley. I work in a gunsmith shop, and hang in two gunshops. I am retired LEO here, and I personally know two of the Citrus Heights officers. My brother also works the Solano Co. Narc's taskforce and they recover stolen guns daily.
If you can post the serial #'s, and any identifying characteristics it will help recovering them. I can post the list in all 3 shops.
Additionally think of more than just the guns. What other knick-knacks, knives, unique jewelry, one of akind items. Crooks may not be so apt to get rid of items that don't have serial #'ers. Crack heads and cranksters almost always hang onto little things they think are neat.

                                PM sent as well.

I see you are new here, probably just to report the guns stolen, but when you get the time, please post what happened here for others to learn from.
