You should never have to pay in full for a gun even if it's special ordered.

No matter what I order online if it's a pre-order or out of stock they don't bill me until the item is available again to be shipped out to me, why should a gun store be any different.

One FFL wanted 2/3rds the amount about 2K down payment, and no refunds or more importantly no lead time on when it will ever be in stock again. So say after 6-8 months or when ever and it wasn't still in, no cancelations with a refund.

What I told him since he has to order it through a distributer anyway, you call me when one is available to order, and I'll come down in person and you order it right in front of me and I'll pay in full. And the only waiting would be the shipping to the FFL which wouldn't be that long. But he didn't like that so I didn't want to tie up 2k with no refunds I don't think so.

And the whole re-stocking fees is BS I work in a industry where we charge fees when ever we can, when it doesn't require any more work or effort just to milk people. Especially if the item never left the store or even the distributor.

I find this hard to believe since there was nobody named Chris or Paul who worked at the Milpitas shop...ever.

Like I said before, there was no Paul or Chris who worked at Valkyrie Arms in Milpitas. Paul worked at 10-8 police supply before Tim moved the shop.

Amen to that!!! I saw this coming from the very beginning stage of this business but everyone seems to enjoy they're "great customer service." Where is that at now at the time of need? I had my share of misfortune with them and vowed never to return and never did. I am a pretty good judge when it comes to bad businesses. Like what I said on yelp, "playing with my money is like playing with my emotions!"

Paul the auditor is doing a fine job trying to clean up the mess. Props goes out to him.

Every business has its share of problems, but a good business man never runs away from them or their customers...NO MATTER WHAT!

My story is one of the extreme ones...

My cousin and I had our Springfield XDS's transferred to Valkyrie. It supposedly got there the day they closed shop. For days I contacted Paul to get the pistols transferred to another shop. Communication was off and on due to the massive amount of people trying to do the same. I didn't hear back for days and when Chris (squackatu) offered to help I took him up on the offer. This dramatically sped up the process and his communication was great. Come to find out in the end the pistols were lost/stolen. Since they were closed the pistols were delivered across the street to the owners other business. An employee of the shop then picked it up and they haven't been seen since. The whereabouts of the pistols are still a mystery. Paul offered a full refund and reported the pistols stolen to the police and DOJ. We also went down as well and spoke to an officer at the Santa Clara Police Dept to make sure our side of the situation was on record.

Thanks for Paul and Chris for doing your best to help us out. As for Tim for bailing out of the business and for his inability to manage his staff/the guy who took our pistols. Karma is a b***h. You have caused a lot of people a lot of time and money. If you cared so much for your customers you would have made it right despite the difficulties you were having with your business partner/s.

Now I can put this behind me. Good luck to the rest of you hopefully you get your money back or have your stuff transferred out eventually.

The OP's complaint/concern was similar to mine, yet back in those days VA had some die hard fans (read the thread).

Damn, hadn't seen this one yet. Well whomever delivered those guns can be in a world of trouble. Guns are to be delivered to the address of the FFL and that address only. Second whoever took possession at the other address can get in trouble along with who ran off with them. These are all federal offenses and nothing to mess with. Whatever happened over there went sideways pretty fast and i'm glad I had no part of anything.
I hope everything gets squared away and all parties are made whole. I know when I was working I did everything I could to take care of the customer and make sure they wanted to come back.

I've sent a few emails to the addresses posted in this thread and others, but have heard nothing back. How do I get scheduled for an appointment with this auditor?

Oh boy, just found out about all this crap. I have had two items on order since Aug and Sep. I just sent the e-mail for the refund appointment today, I hope it doesn't take too long. What a mess!

Not wrong at all. But you're never going to get the whole truth out of any of the parties actually involved. There are people claiming to have been employees on both "sides" in this thread posting information(and only 2 people who are actually known to have been employees of VA at one point or another), as well as unusually happy to help random people that appeared out of the woodwork. Combine that with some people using multiple accounts to try and badmouth other shops in the area and spread complete lies about ATF and DOJ procedures in general, and you've got a giant cluster****.

Wow, crazy how this store went downhill so quick. They opened in what, 2010 when I got my AR from them.

Clusterfark it is. You know who I am and I hope I have a good enough reputation so people will trust what say to be the honest truth.
All I know is something happened and I don't know what it was. I've tried contacting Tim and have yet to get any return calls. The owner of the santa clara shop contacted me and I told him good luck. I was left out to dry and owe loyalty to nobody. My loyalty is to the people i've built guns for. So far I fixed one gun that I didn't even build because it was a safety issue.
I don't think i'll get any info other then whats posted already. It sucks and it's a crappy way for Valkyrie Arms to go down. I invested a ton of time, money, and my heart into that brand and seeing what happened sucks.
