Went in on Tuesday and the refund processed Thursday so it's legit.

Refund posted this past Wednesday. Went in last week Thursday, to get it done. Glad its over with and got all my money back. Hope the new owner takes a look at this thread and puts new processes in place to make this run smoother.

In any event, I'm done with that store. What a chicken***** way to run a business. I was in there about a month ago checking on the order, and no mention of any issues.

Paul's doing a great job cleaning up after them.

Today was the last day before Christmas to process refunds there will be a new schedule posted for returns starting 12/26/12 I will post it on here as soon as I get the new schedule

Besides money being tied up in the store, my 3 HK USP mags that they were converting to 10 rounds are missing, and so are the Truglo TFo sights I was supposed to have installed. How do I get these back as Im out over $350.

All repairs were handled at the Milpitas location which was all Tim Vella you might need to pursue legal action but the repairs were seperate from the Santa Clara location

I got dandan3000 squared away on Sunday. Looks like whoever built his gun didn't know that head spacing is kind of important. The scope was hammered onto the rail and it took both of us, a hammer and brass punch to get it off.

I have nothing to do with Valkyrie Arms and haven't for months.
If there are any mechanical problems with the guns I built, let me know and i'll do what I can to fix it.

If it is not an item that the FFL normally stocks, why shouldn't the FFL get the money upfront so that they don't get stuck with something? Look at it from the other side. Special orders are often not refundable.

If the FFL can't provide the firearm within a specific time, which you should set, then you should get a refund.

Valkyrie (Santa Clara) told me if they could not procure my lower, no refunds, just store credit for my deposit. I walked out.

I agree, that is unacceptable. If the special order is not received, only a full refund is acceptable, no store credit.

Why? When you pay online for an item, you pay the full amount. What terms does the FFL have? Why should the FFL give you a free loan on a special order? Why should the FFL be stuck with your special order if you decide you don't want it? If it is an item that they normally stock, then a deposit is reasonable.

What makes you think that an online order is safer? Unless the place is located in the same state as you, small claims court is not an option. If you use a credit card for either, then you are protected the same.
