Kinda random but I was just wondering:

Can homeless people buy guns? When I buy guns they always require the car registration or utility bills which I suppose most homeless people don't have.

Aren't they legal citizens though? Isn't this kind of unfair?

Sure, they can buy long guns that are over 50 years old with no waiting period or background check, as long as they can convince the seller that they are not mentally unfit, drug addicts, or convicted felons.

Well you could also use a car registration, or just get a C&R.

C&R requires an address of business or residence where the collection will be stored. If you're homeless..

Isn't this basically the same argument that was used for all of the "Saturday Night Specials" gun laws that are bounced around every now and then?

People with a diminished earning capacity, -> homeless, low income, etc., need protection also. In fact, living in a cardboard box would prolly mean they'd need more protection as most boxes don't have deadbolts.

Maybe we should even give them an exemption for AW's and a ccw. Can't have them mugged for their bottle of Ripple or Boones Farm.


ALL BS aside, when did all of this crap come into being. I really can't remember as I've always had 2 kinds of ID and the places I do business with have known me for years.

Handgun test only comes in English and Spanish. If you don't speak/write either you'd have no way to pass the test. Also unfair.

That's just not fair for our Chinese American communities in Monterey Park and San Francisco or the Vietnamese American community in Orange County. Especially since 1% of the US population is of Chinese ancestry. Now that I think about it, doesn't the DMV have booklets in Vietnamese, Chinese, etc.?
