Fedupwbs,
The poll is closed, but my vote would be (for purely selfish reasons) to have another choice in Concord / Bay Point / Pittsburg.
I read last night that Diablo Valley Gun Works is OLL friendly (at least pre-built 'fixed magazine' friendly), I've bought guns from them before, and I see no reason why I won't buy more from them again... however, their FFL charges seem hefty on things you can't find from Davidson's ($100-$150 if I remember correctly - feel free to correct if you've heard different) and I don't know if there are any (legal but evil looking) items they won't touch.
Disclaimer: I am not an FFL, nor have I ever been an FFL. I do not know the laws. However, regarding limiting who you would sell to...Originally posted by FEDUPWBSGoal is VERY LOW prices on transfers and firearms. Possible membership only/optional system, again think outside the box for the greater good. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
I was working with an FFL several years ago. He said that he used to "require NRA membership" to use his services. This came up in conversation with an ATF contact of his and was told this was a no - no. If he was offering this as a public service, he could not limit who he sold to.
That said, he initiated a new policy. NRA members got a "$35 Discount" when using his services. Anyone who was not an NRA member paid "Full Price". He in turn would send a $35 donation to the NRA for every one of these "Full Price" transactions.
Take this for what it's worth, but it may fall under the heading of "thinking outside the box."Comment

Poll is closed but I wanna say my piece anyway
I'd like to see more FFLs in my area. Near me I've really only got Turners, they're not exactly the best shop out there
Now my area exactly is high rent, I'd say move inland a bit we're talking East Torrance, Hawthorne, Lawndale, maybe San Pedro.. Basically something that is out of the higher rents but close enough to the nicer areas of the South Bay would be good (all those rich folk in P.V. need to buy their guns somewhere, right?)Alot isn't a word and allot isn't the word you think it is.
I'd really like a Colt 1903 frame, bad finish okay!
I'm also looking for a good deal on a 1911 frame or two for budget/spare parts builds.Comment

Hercules/Pinole area. Hercules has a business park & "friendly" PD. 45 minutes to Sac, 15 minutes to Concord/Walnut Creek, 1/2 hour from SF, 5 minutes from Ivan, Leelaw & me. It's not Richmond, that's for sure.

I was thinking Scotts Valley. The only gun shops here closed years ago and the closest gun shop is in Watsonville and I won't say how I feel about their service/ selection, prices etc.Comment
