I just found these guys searching google for training in my area. Never heard of them and am surprised they are in Burlingame. Has anyone been there (it's apparently in a scuba shop warehouse)

Interesting; I'll have to give them a call and see what they're all about./Chris
I have a perfect Burning Man attendance record: zero.
You do know there are more guns in the country than there are in the city.

They're offering a 45 minute HSC class, presumably for those who are too nervous about studying on their own or would simply like the facts explained outloud instead of flipping through a book.
No crime there - I might be taking my girlfriend up there as, despite my best assurances, I can't convince her she can prep for the HSC test by herself with the study guide.Rule #3 - Keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to fire.

My girlfriend took her NRA Basic Pistol class there. It turned out to be a SCUBA diving shop. They did the live-fire portion of the class at Jackson Arms.__________________

Theres a study guide? Just kidding. I took mine at Northbay firearms with no studying and got one wrong. Its a pretty common sense test. They're offering a 45 minute HSC class, presumably for those who are too nervous about studying on their own or would simply like the facts explained outloud instead of flipping through a book.

Yup... Right here. I agree it's pretty common sense - if you've spent more than a few months of your life around handguns and thinking about them. I scored a perfect, but I most *certainly* would not have scored perfect if I hadn't flipped through the study guide.
On the other hand, some people aren't good test takers (or are so convinced they aren't, the prophecy self-fulfills). It's not a crime to offer the class, and it's neat that these guys do, IMHO.Rule #3 - Keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to fire.

I used to take process serving assignments from Kathy Erken and Terry Finn (2 instructors there) when they ran a Private Investigations Company called Incognito Services. They later formed Madonna Bail Bond Agency in Redwood City. Terry and Kathy are both great folks, but frankly I think the fees are a little inflated for a training organization that uses Jackson Arms for live-fire training. If I wanted a CCW course I would most likely choose BullsEye in Castella, CA."We're surrounded. That simplifies our problem.
