    Palmetto State Upper BCG PROBLEM!!

I wanted to get an organized thread for the current problem with PSA and their uppers that stated a BCG was included, which they have edited AFTER orders were made to show the BCG as OPTIONAL, and NOT honoring the orders placed before the edit.

There are a few threads about this but i wanted to get an organized one going to keep awareness up...
Mods, sorry if wrong section, i thought this would be the right place to put this.

    Other threads right now...

Soo let me just give my backstory experience of this problem.

I ordered This Upper from them on 09/21/2012. At that point in time, the page said in the overview that it included a "Full auto bolt carrier Carpenter 158 Bolt". There was no "option" on the page at all to add the BCG, or to choose NOT to have the BCG.
Since that point in time, Palmetto has updated the page to have the option of "No Bolt Carrier Group", and removed "Full auto bolt carrier Carpenter 158 Bolt" from the description.

I am not trying to Burn PSA as i have made many orders with them before, that ended very smoothly and with satisfaction.
I AM however trying to make sure that anyone who was caught in this window of time and made an order. Is either Honored with the BCG being provided with their order, OR to be fully refunded without any fee's, minus maybe shipping cost.

My order is Processing at this point, and would like this situation to be cleared up before shipping charges are thrown into the problem.

Attached is a copy of my Invoice, which shows no "option" of a Bolt Carrier Group of any sort.

Please post here if you are having this problem, to make PSA aware of it.

BCM did this a while back and was a major bummer

my guess is that the BCG are a major time restraint, and restrict them from moving through tons of uppers... just hopefully all the companies make everyone clearly aware of this.. Many have edited their sites, just like PSA has edited, but for some the edit came too late.

It also says "stripped upper," which is a complete upper sans BCG.

stripped is usually complete minus BCG and CH, yes... BUT, this specific upper said in the overview and details that the BCG was included and gave a full description of the BCG.

According to their responses, it would show under options, "No BCG" or you can add a bcg. There was no option what so ever.

Im not trying to argue what was on the page when i ordered, because i thoroughly read and re-read as i do most my online purchases. I do not have anymore proof other than what i have provided, because they have changed the product page, description, overview, and options.

I see no point as to why they would give a full description of a BCG in the details, AND put it in the overview, while having no option at all about a BCG, UNLESS it was included.

When was that invoice sent to your e-mail address, out of curiosity? Like date and time...

Hmm. Interesting. I was curious to see if you got the invoice later after something could have been changed. That invoice was sent when the order was placed; they couldn't have changed it after you received it. Not sure what to say...

I haven't seen PSA uppers come with BCG/CH for some time. The price certainly dictates that as I have the same upper, but mine cost ~$120ish more - the average price of a BCG.

                I wish you the best!

they changed the product page after that date, i cant say exactly when, but when i checked early this week i noticed it was different and have been trying to get in contact with since, with a response finaly today. Most of their sale uppers were all around $300ish. so a $100 increase seemed like it was right with the BCG added. i would much rather order a different upper and add the BCG, at about the same price as i already paid, and will prob not recieve a BCG now..

I actually bought an upper during the labor day sale and cancelled my order when I found out here on calguns that they were doing uppers with bcg for a little less and with the option of moe handguards which weren't available during the sale. So i gave up my $300 stripped upper for a $420 to my surprise stripped upper. And coincidentally that same upper is now only $360. My friend called to verify that the bcg was included and as others have mentioned Trista verified that the bcg was included. So i purchased under the pretense from a representative of the company. Im hoping palmetto resolves this well and takes the opportunity to gracefully turn a pr nightmare into a positive effort.

Ouch, I saw that upper when the page said it included a bcg. I was thinking about getting one but didn't get around to it. Hope they get you squared away.

                        Definitely confusing--

PSA BCGs were out of stock and thus all of those uppers defaulted to the "No BCG" option. The option to add the PSA BCG was disabled.

Typically PSA uppers are listed "as low as," for uppers with "No BCG" and "No Charging Handle" options enabled by default -- adding these, and other items (e.g. Magpul Handguards) requires selection of an option.

yah i understand how most there uppers workout on the page setup... only problem is that these were not like that, they said BCG in overview AND details, while not having any option to pick a BCG of any kind ( not even the option is has now, "No bolt carrier group $0.00")

I just hope that PSA will include the IN STOCK BCG that also happens to have the same exact specs of the one that was supposed to be included....

if anything auto defaulted like you say hash, i believe that would be on the host company and they should be more than willing to clear it up...

I'm looking to build a new upper but not too clear which ones listed on the site include a BCG.I know the 'madness' models don't because it's clearly listed as no BCG or CH.But what about the standard

yah, they looked on the 29th, i ordered the 21st. In between those dates they removed the BCG from the overview, and made it optional in the details, as well as adding the "option" check box.....
