$35 is the max any FFL can charge for a PPT. No storage fees, handling fees, paperwork fees or anything else. Also, they cannot regulate the hours during which to do PPTs, if theyre open, they do em. If they refuse, report them to the DOJ.

I bet they're putting on the "$30 Safe Handling Demonstration Fee" like some bottom feeding FFLs are doing. They say, oh, the PPT is only $35, but for use to show you how to safely handle and then assess your ability to safely handle the firearm, we need to charge you $30 for our expertise & training.

Kerleys and Targetmasters are both good for PPTs too. I quit using Reeds because of the limited times and days.

i got a quickie question how much can a dealer charge for a private party transfer at a gunshow? since they are doing buisness at the show are they obligated to follow the $35 rule

Yes. It is $35 only for PPT. They can charge more for doing the paperwork for a sale done by another dealer.

I never did either. A PPT is a great way to introduce a noob to my shop. It's an investment for the future.

I came in to witness a transfer and check-out your shop a few weeks ago with my buddy JD - he was transferring a Browning through you (I think you said it was your first for '08). I'll be back.

My Bay Area FFL experiance has never been that good I think the only places I've had good experiances was SJGE and Irvinton arms. Unfortunatly Irvington is'nt open on sundays and SJGE told me it would be another 2 weeks before they got their FFL back add that to the umpteen time they told me two weeks.
