There isn't a line on Form 4473 for spousal approval.

Be a man, or next time she hears a bump in the night, make her go check on it and tell her she gave up any expectation of you being there to protect her with her unreasonable demand.

This was also from the Trentonian, so therefore a NJ resident, gun restrictions almost as bad as CA. Being a born and raised in NJ then moving to CA recently, adults in their 30-40 grew up with heavy media and public support of the Brady Law, saw President Reagan shot, Columbine tragedy, etc.
The first time I owned a gun or considered purchase was at 35 yrs old as a California resident after a local teen drunk was waving a shotgun in the street and the feeling of extreme fear and helplessness overwhelmed me.

So I looked over at my sweetheart and said "dudes wife said he couldn't have guns." she says - "Time for a new wife!" lol .

My girl won't shoot my rifle yet , and has only watched me at the range. But she's coming around, someday soon she'll be punchin paper.

Probably not that young. I'm 43. When I was a freshman in high school, the game Assassin was really popular.

I was raised by a single mom.... She was over barring and over protective, it made me want to be out on my own sooner.

This guy doesn't need a gun, he needs a new set of testicles, it sounds like his old pair have already withered away sitting in his wife's purse.

To bad you can't order those online.... then again I'm sure he couldn't have those either.

Pathetic. He must have never gotten a man card, (or balls) to begin with. What a shame. When will people understand it is a tool, it does not do anything on its own. People are so idiotic is scares me.

Really sad thing is, I know a guy like this IRL. He is terrified of standing up to his GF at all, even passively(if he gets a text from her, no matter what he is doing, he drops everything and reply's, the longest anyone has gotten him to ignore a message from her is about 10-15 minutes). He goes on and on about how much she pisses him off, how he wants to leave her, but he just doesn't have the guts to do it.

Frankly, if the guy in the article lets his wife forbid him from anything(it's supposed to be a partnership, not dictatorship) he probably shouldn't own a gun.

My wife said that exact same thing!

Heck my wife is just pissed right now cause she can't shoot for another two and a half months. Cause she's pregnant, and the doctor told her not to due to the possibility of elevated atmospheric lead, and mercury vapors; along with the concussion from the firearms.

                    -ouch1

He I am going shooting this weekend at the Los Altos Rod and gun Club. She is so annoyed with me right now.

As a man he should have been taught the importance of defending the family, but apparently if you are disarmed, well off, and educated, nobody will dare to come after you.

Tell your wife she's not ALLOWED (fill in the blank) and see what happens next. You married your mom dude.

                        Not allowed??

Buy a floor safe, have it delivered and bolted to the floor, tell her there's 10 guns in there and DON'T ALLOW HER TO HAVE THE COMBINATION. I can hear it now: "Mr!! You're having a TIME OUT until I have that combination and those guns are out of MY HOUSE" (not even OUR house!!)

You two need therapy!! NOT ALLOWED????????????
