What do you use for a RANGE BAG?

Hi all -- as my Smith & Wesson revolver collection grows, I'm looking for a CA-legal range bag or case to take multiple guns to the range. Not sure if I want to go with a classic lockable duffel and throw gun rugs in it, or maybe a hard case with multiple layers of egg foam, or maybe a long case for a short rifle that I fill up with revolvers.

What are you guys and gals using for your "lockable" range bag - photos greatly appreciated!

Backpak if I'm taking 2, duffle bag if 4+. I may be looking for a range bag that can hold 4-6 pistols so I don't have to take the cases though...

I use a range bag for 2 or 3 pistols. If I want to bring more, I also carry a cheapie lockable briefcase type case that fits 4 pistols.

M-5 medical bag and ammo cans. Sometimes some cheap tool bags from HF.

Pics taken off the web, but mine is same-same.

Edit: as you can see one is able to slip a small lock on the zippers.

A simple duffel bag type thing. I don't have a real purpose designed range bag..

i use a backpack kind of tote with a solid non-flexing thick leather bottom. fits at least three revolvers and one SA in their own little zippered and locked pockets. ammo for all three as well as ear protection fits easily in the main pocket. side pocket for misc. in fact, its packed and will be in the trunk tomorrow for a visit to the range! no one would suspect what's inside as despite the leather trim and bottom, its made of a indian blanket tapestry type of material but sturdier.

i too was wondering what to use as most things i've seen seem to be more for SA's so i just pulled this out of the closet and started using it by default. given my one SA will probably remain single while my three revolvers are screaming for more company, i'm happy with the bag i'm using as it may hold a few more to keep them company.

Get some type of non descript medical bag and write in big letters. "MENTAL WARD" Nobody will bother you especially if you wear a postal uniform.

I use a Browning range bag. $36. A little pricey but built well, unlikely to tear. Can hold a variety of things. I keep a range kit, shell extractors, cleaning rod, screw drivers, eyes, ears, stapler, tape, and whatever else I might need for myself or to FIX someone elses issue. Side can extend for boxes of shotgun shells if I'm doing trap, skeet, or sporting clays. Room enough for many pistols, boxes of ammo, and not overly big.

An Addidas soccer bag, and NO, I don't play the sport. Had a family member that did and no longer has a use for it.

Not a single person in the crowd is rational or reachable because the parade's for gay folks and it's in SF.

Midway range bag that I got on sale last year for 50% off. It is hands down the best bag I have ever used.
