I own 13 guns, I shoot 13 guns. If I was rich, I would buy some investment grade firearms and never shoot them but I am far from rich and enjoy shooting all 13 of my guns.

        LAR Grizzly .45 Win-Mag

        I don't shoot it because ammo is rare/expensive, and I don't reload.

No safe queens. Every gun I own is a shooter. Some don't get to the range often, but if I notice it's been a long time I'll try to take 'em out.
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

I don't have enough room in my safe to store a gun I wouldn't shoot.

OK, I admit it. I have a lot more guns than I shoot...seems like I keep shooting my 5-7 favorites and the rest end up sitting.

I have decided to do something about it...I am selling off a bunch to good homes so they can be taken out and used as they should be.

At least that's what I am saying I am going to do...

I used to. Then I realized that they were just money sitting there unused, uninvested.

So I sold everything except one of each type of firearm that I like/need.

Precision rifle, carbine, shotgun, full size pistol, deep concealment pistol, etc.

There is enough overlap that one really can be used to fulfill the duty of another.

Keep the guns you love though. I've come to see them as tools.

Absolutely reliable, or no longer with me.

I had a Glock 23 I sold that was dead reliable that I miss terribly, but I also decided to consolidate calibers. In pistol, that's 9mm & .38.

(OK, I have a Glock 20 I don't really shoot anymore, but it's SO accurate!)

Back on topic. I won't buy anything I don't intend to shoot.

The really shiny guns dont get fired. 3 Safe Queens, 1 Old Lady, 17 Shooters. I cant imagine needing any other gun. That 1911 is one of the Queens.

I shoot everything I have. But then, only have one pistol and five rifles. I don't have enough money for some museum grade, collector type firearm that I wouldn't shoot.

My only "safe queen" is my Winchester Model 1890 .22 Long Slide-action repeater. It's in almost perfect condition and is worth too much to me to shoot (monetarily and sentimentally), plus the .22 Long ammo is a bit pricy for .22 ammo.
