I actual used the locks...not for guns, but I did use them. When my boys were younger I would use them to lock the stroller up when we were at the fair, Disneyland, or other locations. I now keep a couple in the trailer to lock up my generator when I use it.

The dozen or so state mandated gun locks I have are just as smart as the politicians that legislated their use.

When I meet someone for a PPT to buy a gun, I bring an old lock and hand it to them. They then include it with the gun in the sale to me. The law allows for the seller to provide an old lock. If none is provided, then the buyer must buy one from the store or have one with a receipt less than 30 days old.

This might be one of the stupidest CA gun laws of all... A 30 day old lock is OK but a 31 day or even 2 year old lock is somehow not?

            Use as a bike lock?

Thinking about carrying a gun lock on my bike for locking it.

Ironically, I would use a better lock for my bike.
