How many guns do you take to the range?

So i'm up in "the room" trying to get my junk together for tomorrow, and then it comes to me. Am I taking to many? I have four ammo cans filled, a pile of cases, and some that I don't have enough cases for leaning against the wall. I probably won't get to them all, but others going might want to shoot them.

So how many guns do you take to the range?

Depends. usually my pistol only. But if it is a range where I can shoot both rifles and pistols, usually 2 or so. If it is a BLM land, I've taken several more and a lot more ammunitions.

I have different "days." There's C&R Day, COM-BLOC Day, Bolt Action Days, Handgun Days. For simplicity I chose 5-10 since my range, I get to shoot everything in my collection. This is a sign. I NEED MORE GUNS!

Depends but normally 5 or more between rifles and pistols. I don't get to the range that often so want to make the best of it when I do get out. The worse part is cleaning everything after.

Range is 5 minutes from home. Other than the 10/22 (which I almost never clean), generally under 3 depending on venue . Can always go back and get more.

Different depending on venue I'm shooting. 3-gun, I bring 3. If trap or skeet, 1. If hunting 1, or 2 depending on whether its fowl, pig, or large mammals. If heading to Front Sight for a class 1 and sometimes a spare in case I think the first might break. If heading to the Sierras or NV for 800+ yard shooting, a few.

As I shoot more than once a week, I try to focus on the fun, and less on the chore of cleaning. Overall, hard to give an average since sometimes I'm only at the range for an hour or two.

Headed on down to Jackson Arms at lunch today...with an OLL, my 1911 9mm Springfield, Browning HP, and S&W's 10-5 snubbie, and 586 nodash...

Didn't shoot all of it, but I took ~140 or so rounds of XM193 and AE 223; at least 150 rounds of 9mm; ~150 rounds of .357 mag and .38 special.

Geez...no wonder my frickin range bag was so heavy...

I've been trying to take JUST ONE OR TWO guns to the range at a time, but somehow it never works out that way.

                      Usually about 1/2 dozen hookers...

                      oh wait firearms...

I've cut way back. I'll take a rifle or two and a trio of pistols. Today I only took my M1A and burned through a SA battle pack. Short day.

In California, just 1-2 because I am paranoid. In case some LEO at the range gets weird about my OLL I won't loose my whole stash.

Usually 2-3 rifles. Cleaning up after takes a while so...

I usually take 2-3 because cleaning is just a pain in the butt!
