I can't stand to pay for loaded ammo, so my name is Chris and I'm a reloading supply addict. If I get below 1,000 bullets for my 9mm, I have to order more. I buy 3750 at a time, but split them with my parents. We all shoot 9mm for competition. I buy powder by the 8 pound jugs and primers by the tens of thousands. Heck, I even have enough supplies on hand to load thousands of rounds for my 460 revolver. I'll use them eventually.

I don't foresee ammo or supplies getting any cheaper and I hope to shoot for many years to come.

Funny, I go through stages, pistols, then rifles, then shotguns, I've been on the ammo kick for about a year and FINALLY have all I want. 1000+ in each caliber and multiple thousands in the ones I use the most. At the rate I shoot, a veritable lifetime supply.

My problem is I can't go through "a little"... just a "quick" trip to the pistol range is 150-200 rds... twice that if I stay a while...

A normal trip to indoor rifle is 200-400 rounds...

A trip to the outdoor range is hundreds of rounds (at least 300 in 7.62x39, 300-500 of 5.56/.223, couple hundred ea of 9, 40, 45 and a bunch of shot shells (slugs, 00, #4)... Depending on how many people I share ammo with it could be more...

I dont do full day range trips too often (thank gawd)... and no matter how much I shoot (or don't shoot) - I'm always buying more - enough is never enough

true hoarders feel they are "rescuing" the things they hoard. so, do a good deed and... save the ammo.

I don't need no stinking ammo! I use my handguns as hammers and my long guns as baseball bats. I've found though, that I sure go through a ton of gloves.
